Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a genetic testing system that facilitates the management of various regulated plant products, for example regulated cannabis, and enables the relation of regulatory jurisdiction to the regulated plant originating from the regulatory jurisdiction. Numerous advantages are described herein for example associating genotype to phenotype for crop improvement, enablement of intellectual property mechanisms in a new industry, and protecting the consumer by ensuring that an identifier for a particular regulated plant correlates to a specific genotype with a known chemical profile and any associated quality control/quality assurance documentation.
