  • Publication number: 20080001413
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a casement window assembly includes a housing adapted to be mounted on the window assembly, an actuator operably connected to the housing and pivotable about a fulcrum, and a linkage member having a first channel and a second channel. The housing has an elongated opening having opposed ends. The actuator includes an actuator body having a first pin and a second pin located thereon. The linkage member is connected to the actuator such that the first pin is received in the first channel and the second pin is received in the second channel. Pivoting the actuator about the fulcrum causes the first pin to move within the first channel and the second pin to move within the second channel, moving the linkage member along the opening, from one end of the opening to the other end of the opening.

  • Publication number: 20080000159
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for a casement window assembly includes a rotatable adjuster and a moveable mounting member adapted to be operably connected to a hinge mechanism of the window assembly. The adjuster is non-eccentric, having a cam portion and a non-eccentric rotational axis. The mounting member includes a swivel mount adapted to be pivotably connected to one of the arms of the hinge mechanism and an engagement member connected to the swivel mount. The engagement member includes a plurality of engagement surfaces. Rotation of the adjuster causes the cam portion to engage one or more of the engagement surfaces, thereby exerting a force on the engagement surfaces to move the moveable member, adjusting the position of the swivel mount.

  • Publication number: 20070289100
Abstract: A hinge assembly is suitable for use with a casement window assembly. The hinge assembly includes a frame fixedly connected to the window frame, a track on the hinge frame including a channel, a shoe slidably connected to the track, a sash arm pivotably connected to the shoe and fixedly connected to the window, and a swivel arm pivotably connected at a first end to the sash arm and pivotably connected at a second end to the hinge frame. The hinge assembly also includes structure for limiting pivoting of the sash arm relative to the shoe. The hinge assembly further includes means disposed on the hinge frame for assisting insertion of a portion of the shoe into the channel to mount the shoe on the track. An adjustment mechanism, having an eccentric adjuster and a quick-connect structure, pivotably connects the swivel arm to the frame.

  • Patent number: 6922937
Abstract: A fishing lure consisting of an arched hollow body with an interior bait chamber is provided. The interior chamber is divided into a buoyancy chamber and a bait chamber. A number of small openings are formed in the outer body to enable scent and bait particles to be broadcast from bait stored within the bait chamber as the lure is passed through the water. Access to the bait chamber is further provided by either a hinged cover or by a hinged connection formed in the lure body between the buoyancy chamber and the bait chamber. Access to the bait chamber is restricted while the lure is being passed through the water as a result of the water flow positioning either the cover or the hinged lure body over the opening to the bait chamber. Once removed from the water, access to the bait chamber is readily obtained through movement of either the cover or the hinged lure body for re-supplying bait prior to supplemental use of the lure.
