  • Patent number: 11939849
Abstract: The mechanical shaft lock can include one or more shear pins. When an end of the shear pin, e.g., shear pin head, lines up with one or more shearing slots on the MSL or pump shaft, the shear pin engages and stops the rotation of the pump shaft and motor attached to the pump. The shaft lock can be engaged for installing an ESP, disengaged for production after installing by breaking the shear pin upon start-up, and re-engaged for removing the ESP from the wellbore. In some embodiments, the MSL may be configured to be disengaged and re-engaged to deal with well kicks.

  • Patent number: 11739618
Abstract: Systems and methods for increasing hydrocarbon production using an electrical submersible pump are described. The methods typically include, for example, configuring an electrical submersible pump comprising a gas separator to induce a gas lift effect in a well comprising a tubing within a casing. Hydrocarbon production from the well is therefore increased using the electrical submersible pump.

  • Patent number: 11731861
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety link for use in lifting, winching, towing or securing apparatus or similar. The safety link including, a first connection point, a second connection point, and an indicator means positioned substantially between and associated with the first connection point and the second connection point. If an overload force is applied, the forces between the first connection point and the second connection point cause a change in the indicator means, whereby the change indicates the overload to the user so safety checks may be conducted. The invention also relates to a method of use.

  • Patent number: 11732676
Abstract: A rocket motor has an energetic material between solid fuel (propellent) and a casing that surrounds the solid fuel. The energetic material is configured to be burned along with the solid fuel during normal operation of the rocket motor to produce thrust. The energetic material can also be detonated to cause rupture of the casing. The detonation may be initiated as part of a flight termination process. The detonation may also be initiated as a part of process to prevent as a higher-order reaction, such as in reaction to heating from a fire or other cause. The energetic material may be arranged to function as part of a shaped charge, able to split the casing when detonated. By being located inside the casing, the energetic material does not adversely affect aerodynamics of the flight vehicle of which the rocket motor is a part, such as a missile.

  • Patent number: 11720474
Abstract: A method, system, or apparatus to debug software that is reorganized in memory is presented. A post-mortem debugging session is established by loading an executable code component corresponding to a packed binary file into memory. A randomly reorganized layout of the machine code corresponding to the blocks of the original source code is generated based on a transformation defined in a function randomization library corresponding to the blocks of original source code. A core dump file corresponding to the crash event associated with the executing of the executable code component and a debug data file that includes symbol table information to debug the blocks of the original source code are received. An updated debug data file is generated that includes symbol table information corresponding to the randomly reorganized layout. A debugger program is called with the executable code component, the core dump file, and the updated debug data file.

  • Patent number: 11693760
Abstract: A method, system, or apparatus to debug software that is reorganized in memory is presented. An interactive debugging session is established with an executable code component corresponding to a packed binary file includes machine code that corresponds to blocks of original source code. A randomly reorganized layout of the machine code is generated in memory based on a transformation defined in a function randomization library. An in-memory object file is created by using a debug data component corresponding to the packed binary file. The debug data component includes symbol table information to debug the blocks of the original source code generated prior to the randomly reorganized layout. The symbol table information is updated based on the randomly reorganized layout of the machine code, and the debugger program is instructed to load the in-memory object file with the updated symbol information to debug the blocks of the original source code.

  • Patent number: 11612968
Abstract: A tool system controls and prevents gaps during processing of assemblies at elevated temperature. Gaps are prevented from arising at joints between components during temperature changes. The tool system includes a lever arm having a body, a connection configured to allow the body to pivot, a cam surface defined by the body and configured to engage the second component, and a weight arm extending from the body and over the second component. In response to movement of the second component, the lever arm is configured to pivot at the connection while the weight arm is configured to generate a force transferred through the body to the second component to maintain contact at the joint between the first component and the second component. A rod may be connected with the lever arm for added weight.
