  • Publication number: 20250147811
Abstract: An information handling system includes resource detection circuitry that collects data associated with resources being utilized in the information handling system. The system determines resources for execution of an inference model, and receives the data associated with the resources from the resource detection circuitry. Based on the resources for the execution of the inference model, the system determines one performance of an application when the inference model is executed in the information handling system. The system determines another performance level of the application when the inference model is not executed in the information handling system. Based on the two performance levels, the system determines whether the application has a performance gain by the inference model not being executed in the information handling system. In response to the performance gain, the system migrates the inference model to an edge server for execution.

  • Publication number: 20250138997
Abstract: An edge network includes an information handling system configured to manage a shared memory, and a client device. A series of edge systems each include a portion of the shared memory. The information handling system determines that the client device is bottlenecked in processing a service, locks data associated with the service in the shared memory of a first edge system, permits a second edge system to access the first data, and directs the second edge system to process the service.

  • Publication number: 20250141762
Abstract: An information handling system builds a performance model for a network based on key performance indicators, and evaluates performance of applications using the key performance indicators according to useability metrics. The system predicts network bandwidth requirement based on the performance model for the network and the performance of the applications, adjusts power consumption of the network based on the predicted network bandwidth requirement, and reallocates power saved from the adjusting of the power consumption of the network to a component of the information handling system.

  • Publication number: 20250141756
Abstract: An information handling system collects telemetry data from a component of an information handling system, and determines the health of the component of the information handling system based on the telemetry data. The system abstracts the health of the component prior to transmitting information on the health of the component to a telemetry framework, and encrypts the telemetry data prior to storing the encrypted telemetry data at a data store.

  • Publication number: 20250139423
Abstract: An information handling system includes a central processing unit, a neural processing unit, and an offload module. The offload module receives an inference container including multiple inference models and metadata associated with the inference models. Based on the metadata, the offload module determines whether a quality of service for the inference models may be met by the neural processing unit. In response to the quality of service being met in the neural processing unit, the neural processing unit executes the inference models. In response to the quality of service not being met in the neural processing unit, the central processing unit executes the inference models.

  • Publication number: 20250138877
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor and a scheduler. The processor includes first cores of a first type and second cores of a second type and provides affinity information associated with first cores and the second cores. The scheduler schedules threads on the first cores and the second cores based on the affinity information. The information handling system provides an indication to the scheduler to schedule a thread on the first cores. The scheduler determines that thread is to be scheduled on the second cores based on the affinity information, and schedules the thread on the first cores based on the indication.

  • Publication number: 20250123890
Abstract: An information handling system includes processing hardware, a web browser, a hardware scheduler, and a browser inference module. The web browser retrieves a webpage including content and an advertisement, and provides browser process information related to the processes launched by the web browser for the content and the advertisement. The hardware scheduler directs the execution of processes on the processing hardware. The browser inference module receives the browser process information, and provides an indication to the hardware scheduler to prioritize first processes associated with the content over second processes associated with the advertisement based upon the browser process information.

  • Publication number: 20250110724
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor, a baseboard management controller that provides a management environment that operates out-of-band from the processor, and a system optimization controller that operates in the management environment. The system optimization controller evaluates a first software image instantiated on the processor to determine the presence of optimization firmware in the first software image, stores the optimization firmware, evaluates a second software image to be installed on the processor to determine whether or not the optimization firmware is present in the second software image, and, when the optimization firmware is not present in the second software image, retrieves the optimization firmware and installs the optimization firmware on the processor.

  • Patent number: 11199886
Abstract: A method for regulating power dissipation at an information handling system may include determining a present value of a first parameter, the first parameter controlling an operating frequency, frequency boost, and a supply voltage at a central processing unit. The method may further include determining a present value of a second parameter, the second parameter defining a user's preference for optimizing operation of the system for noise level, skin temperature, and performance. The method may further include determining that a program executing at the system is specified at a list of software applications. In response to determining that a skin temperature of the system exceeds a threshold, the first parameter may be adjusted to reduce power dissipation of the CPU by a first amount if the value of the second parameter is equal to a first value. The first parameter may be adjusted by a second amount if the present value of the second parameter is equal to a second value.

  • Publication number: 20100185816
Abstract: A mechanism which allows pages of flash memory to be read directly into cache. The mechanism enables different cache line sizes for different cache levels in a cache hierarchy, and optionally, multiple line size support, simultaneously or as an initialization option, in the highest level (largest/slowest) cache. • Patent number: 6137890
Abstract: Piezoelectric speaker achieves radiation efficiency at low frequencies by using a piezoelectric speaker panel as a lumped parameter resonator. The speaker panel is mounted in a resonant system for generating translational motion. The resonant system includes suspension devices for suspending the panel to allow for translational motion of the panel and isolators for tuning the speaker panel to a predetermined frequency. At the predetermined frequency, the speaker panel achieves resonance in a low order mode, producing improved radiation efficiency at lower frequencies and translational motion of the panel not possible with a piezoelectric activator alone. The speaker panel may be included in a portable computer system, a desktop computer monitor, or other sound systems. In a portable computer system, a display screen or front speaker panel serves as a lumped parameter resonator, and the lid or rear speaker panel serves as a structure born vibration resonator.
