  • Publication number: 20260119275
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The information handling system receives multiple checkpoints generated by a computing device that is executing a workload and is docked at the computing device. In response to detecting that the information handling system is undocked from the computing device, the information handling system receives a checkpoint of the checkpoints from a cloud resource. The checkpoint is transmitted by the computing device to the cloud resource and is generated subsequent to the other checkpoints. In addition, the information handling system selects another information handling system to execute the workload based on the checkpoint.

  • Publication number: 20260119243
Abstract: A docking station includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The docking station may be configured to establish a sideband connection between an information handling system and the docking station subsequent to detecting the information handling system docking at the docking station. The docking station may also execute a workload of the information handling system, subsequent to the establishment of the sideband connection. In addition, the docking station may transmit a notification to resume the workload via the sideband connection subsequent to detecting that the information handling system is undocked from the docking station while performing the executing of the workload.

  • Publication number: 20260119274
Abstract: An information handling system selects a docking station to execute a workload. In response to the selection of the docking station, the information handling system configures the docking station to execute the workload using a sideband connection between the information handling system and the docking station. Subsequent to the configuration of the docking station using the sideband connection, the information handling system offloads the workload to the docking station via a primary connection between the information handling system and the docking station. Further, the information handling system receives results of the workload from the docking station via the primary connection.

  • Publication number: 20260093538
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution may cause the information handling system to determine whether to offload an artificial intelligence workload to another information handling system. The information handling system may also be configured to determine whether the other information handling system is associated with a workspace reservation, in response to a determination to offload the artificial intelligence workload to the other information handling system. In addition, the information handling system may be configured to offload the artificial intelligence workload to the other information handling system, in response to a determination that the other information handling system is associated with the workspace reservation.

  • Patent number: 12499038
Abstract: An edge network includes an information handling system configured to manage a shared memory, and a client device. A series of edge systems each include a portion of the shared memory. The information handling system determines that the client device is bottlenecked in processing a service, locks data associated with the service in the shared memory of a first edge system, permits a second edge system to access the first data, and directs the second edge system to process the service.

  • Publication number: 20250293971
Abstract: An information handling system stores telemetry data for the information handling system. A processor collects the telemetry data and determines a target application associated with the telemetry data. The processor sets a quality of service for the target application based on a context of the target application. The processor determines whether a first network path or a failover network path associated with the target application is a preferred network path. In response to the first network path being the preferred network path, the processor provides the telemetry data from the target application over the first network path. In response to the failover network path being the preferred network path, the processors failover the target application to the failover network path. The telemetry data is provided based on the quality of service.

  • Publication number: 20250293955
Abstract: An information handling system stores a service level agreement for an application. The system collects data associated with a network. The data includes a power consumption of an access point of the network. Based on the collected data and the service level agreement of the application, the system determines whether the application is a candidate for migration. In response to the application being a candidate for migration, the system provides a transmit power level increase request to the access point. After the transmit power level increase request is provided, the system provides the application to a remote compute device of the network via the access point.

  • Publication number: 20250265130
Abstract: An information handling system includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores a quality of service (QOS) table that includes parameters for a target application. The processor identifies the target application from multiple applications and receives a requested QoS for the target application. The processor determines a system workload class associated with the target application and determines a system level QoS associated with the target application. Based on the requested QoS, the system workload class, and the system level QoS, the processor determines a derived QoS for the target application. The requested QoS, the system workload class, the system level QoS, and the derived QoS are stored in the QoS table. Based on the derived QoS, the processor determines whether the target application is a candidate for migration from the information handling system to an offload compute device.

  • Publication number: 20250147811
Abstract: An information handling system includes resource detection circuitry that collects data associated with resources being utilized in the information handling system. The system determines resources for execution of an inference model, and receives the data associated with the resources from the resource detection circuitry. Based on the resources for the execution of the inference model, the system determines one performance of an application when the inference model is executed in the information handling system. The system determines another performance level of the application when the inference model is not executed in the information handling system. Based on the two performance levels, the system determines whether the application has a performance gain by the inference model not being executed in the information handling system. In response to the performance gain, the system migrates the inference model to an edge server for execution.

  • Publication number: 20250138877
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor and a scheduler. The processor includes first cores of a first type and second cores of a second type and provides affinity information associated with first cores and the second cores. The scheduler schedules threads on the first cores and the second cores based on the affinity information. The information handling system provides an indication to the scheduler to schedule a thread on the first cores. The scheduler determines that thread is to be scheduled on the second cores based on the affinity information, and schedules the thread on the first cores based on the indication.

  • Publication number: 20250139423
Abstract: An information handling system includes a central processing unit, a neural processing unit, and an offload module. The offload module receives an inference container including multiple inference models and metadata associated with the inference models. Based on the metadata, the offload module determines whether a quality of service for the inference models may be met by the neural processing unit. In response to the quality of service being met in the neural processing unit, the neural processing unit executes the inference models. In response to the quality of service not being met in the neural processing unit, the central processing unit executes the inference models.

  • Publication number: 20250123890
Abstract: An information handling system includes processing hardware, a web browser, a hardware scheduler, and a browser inference module. The web browser retrieves a webpage including content and an advertisement, and provides browser process information related to the processes launched by the web browser for the content and the advertisement. The hardware scheduler directs the execution of processes on the processing hardware. The browser inference module receives the browser process information, and provides an indication to the hardware scheduler to prioritize first processes associated with the content over second processes associated with the advertisement based upon the browser process information.

  • Publication number: 20250110724
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor, a baseboard management controller that provides a management environment that operates out-of-band from the processor, and a system optimization controller that operates in the management environment. The system optimization controller evaluates a first software image instantiated on the processor to determine the presence of optimization firmware in the first software image, stores the optimization firmware, evaluates a second software image to be installed on the processor to determine whether or not the optimization firmware is present in the second software image, and, when the optimization firmware is not present in the second software image, retrieves the optimization firmware and installs the optimization firmware on the processor.

  • Patent number: 11199886
Abstract: A method for regulating power dissipation at an information handling system may include determining a present value of a first parameter, the first parameter controlling an operating frequency, frequency boost, and a supply voltage at a central processing unit. The method may further include determining a present value of a second parameter, the second parameter defining a user's preference for optimizing operation of the system for noise level, skin temperature, and performance. The method may further include determining that a program executing at the system is specified at a list of software applications. In response to determining that a skin temperature of the system exceeds a threshold, the first parameter may be adjusted to reduce power dissipation of the CPU by a first amount if the value of the second parameter is equal to a first value. The first parameter may be adjusted by a second amount if the present value of the second parameter is equal to a second value.
