    Abstract: One aspect of the invention is a method for mapping shared areas in an enterprise network that includes retrieving user information identifying one or more shared areas to which a user has access in the enterprise network. User input identifying at least a selected one of the one or more shared areas with which the user desires to link is received. A command is generated to cause an operating system to map the selected one of the shared areas to the user's login-id.
