Patent number: 11958273Abstract: A decorative, nonwoven laminate and a method of forming, including a first side of a first nonwoven affixed to one or both of a) a first side of a polymeric sheet or b) a second nonwoven, wherein the first nonwoven exhibits a basis weight of 15 g/m2 to 2500 g/m2 and the second nonwoven exhibits a basis weight of 15 g/m2 to 1200 g/m2; and a colorant deposited on a second side of the first nonwoven. A topical coating may or may not be applied to improve durability of the printed surface layer. The decorative nonwoven laminate may also amount to a single layer of the first nonwoven, which then includes a layer of colorant and a topical coating over the colorant and single nonwoven layer.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2019Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: AURIA SOLUTIONS UK I LTD.Inventors: Kenneth Mitchell Whitesell, Jr., Sean Bracken Simmons, Ernest Franklin Wilson, Tyler M. Publication number: 20130000060Abstract: The invention is a device for cleaning a toilet. It has a power cord, a power unit, a shaft, and a removable brush at the end. 120 Volt A/C current @ 60 HZ is delivered through a power cord to the coil which is wound around the metal shaft in the power unit which will produce a constantly reversing magnetic field. This magnetic field will alternately pull or push on the metallic bolt, which is attached to the shaft, and cause it to push in or out of the power unit, thus driving the brush for increased cleaning efficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2011Publication date: January 3, 2013Inventors: Wei Zhang, Mitchell Simmons, Steven Sadlowski

Publication number: 20050086539Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preventing a control program written in a first engine control unit (ECU) from running in a second ECU, comprising obtaining an ID number from the first ECU; encrypting the ID number; writing the encrypted ID number into a flash memory of the first ECU; encrypting the ID number again and writing the encrypted ID number into an EEPROM of the first ECU; and requiring the control program to match the encrypted ID number placed in the flash memory and the EEPROM before running the program, and if the match fails, terminating the control program from running further.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2004Publication date: April 21, 2005Inventors: Frank Dudel, Mitchell Simmons, Todd Williams

Patent number: 6873799Abstract: An optical signal transceiver subassembly is mounted on a lead frame for further attachment to an electronic printed circuit board. The optical subassembly is comprised of a solid-state laser, a pair of photo-detectors, an over-mold of transparent material having shapes forming the exposed surface thereof, the surface and a selective silvering of a portion thereof defining a beam-splitter mirror and an interior reflective focusing surface, preferably in the shape of a partial cylindrical surface. The beam-splitter mirror is lightly silvered and the cylindrical surface is silvered to enhance the reflection of the laser beam. The optical subassembly is further enclosed with a housing incorporating a pair of lenses and alignment pins. The lenses focus the data stream of optical light signals onto the end of the outgoing optical fiber and the data stream of optical light signals from the incoming optical fiber onto and through the beam-splitter and onto a first photo-detector.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2001Date of Patent: March 29, 2005Assignee: JDS Uniphase CorporationInventors: Mitchell Simmons Cohen, David Peter Gaio, William K. Hogan, Glen Walden Johnson, Jeannine Madelyn Trewhella

Publication number: 20030068142Abstract: An optical subassembly is provided. A mounting structure having a plurality of angled conductive traces is disposed on a first surface of the mounting structure. A holding device, coupled to a second surface of the mounting structure, has a plurality of optical channels. A laser optical device is electrically connected to the conductive traces on the mounting structure. An optical signal is emitted or received by the laser optical device and is converted to an electrical signal. The electrical signal is transmitted by way of the plurality of angled conductive devices to the plurality of optical channels.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2002Publication date: April 10, 2003Inventors: Johnny Roy Brezina, Mitchell Simmons Cohen, Brian Michael Kerrigan, Gerald Daniel Malagrino

Patent number: 6527460Abstract: A fiber optic arrangement includes a chip, and a first light emitter and a second light emitter formed on the chip. A guide is formed on the chip and in registration with an active region of the second light emitter. An optical fiber is coupled to the second light emitter for transmitting light from the second light emitter. The guide aligns the optical fiber relative to the active region of the second light emitter. A light-sensing device is provided. An optical element transmits light emitted from the first light emitter to the light-sensing device for controlling an output optical power of at least the second light emitter.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2001Date of Patent: March 4, 2003Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Mitchell Simmons Cohen, David Peter Gaio, William K. Hogan, Jeannine Madelyn Trewhella

Patent number: 6502999Abstract: An opto-electronic module is housed in a hermetically sealed housing which is fabricated on a base member of solderable material to which a side wall structure is soldered. A cover is similarly provided that either is soldered to the top open end of the housing at the edge of the housing wall structure or is a cup-shaped member that slides over the wall structure and is soldered at the juxtaposed faces of the walls of the cover and the wall structure. Overlapping slots co-align to form a passage through which optical fibers may pass through the walls. The hermetic seal of the housing prevents the internal contamination of the module by water vapor, particulate matter or other contaminants.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2001Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: JDS Uniphase CorporationInventors: Mitchell Simmons Cohen, David Peter Gaio, William K.
