  • Patent number: 7830297
Abstract: A method of classifying radar emitters includes the steps of: (a) receiving pulses from multiple radar emitters over a plurality of consecutive first time intervals; (b) identifying pulses in each of the plurality of consecutive first time intervals corresponding to one or more first pulse trains using a first algorithm and de-interleaving the identified pulses from the plurality of first time intervals; (c) associating received pulses not identified and de-interleaved using the first algorithm with a plurality of consecutive second time intervals; and (d) identifying further pulses in each of the plurality of consecutive second time intervals corresponding to one or more second pulse trains using a second algorithm different from the first algorithm and de-interleaving the identified further pulses from the pulses associated with the plurality of consecutive second time intervals. Each consecutive second time interval is formed from two or more consecutive first time intervals.

  • Patent number: 7397415
Abstract: A method of classifying radar emitters includes the steps of: (a) receiving pulses from multiple radar emitters; (b) categorizing received pulses based on pulse data descriptors (PDWs); (c) forming clusters of received pulses based on the PDWs; and (d) de-interleaving pulses from the cluster using one of a differential time of arrival (DTOA) histogram technique, a spectrum estimation technique, or a Hough transform technique. Step (a) includes receiving the pulses during a predetermined time interval and storing the received pulses as a snapshot representing the pulses present during the predetermined time interval.

  • Publication number: 20050001754
Abstract: An electronic warfare (EW) cross-eye system comprises two antennas separated a distance, d, a part, where d is much greater than the wavelength, ?, of a tracking signal emitted by a fire control radar (i.e., d >>?). The EW cross-eye system further comprises a receive polarimeter for measuring the tracking signal and a second polarimeter for synthesizing the measured tracking signal to produce, for transmission, a jamming signal comprising a pair of inverted amplitude signals that are 180 degrees out of phase with each other.
