  • Patent number: 5100704
Abstract: A method for bonding together rubber vulcanizates and urethane elastomers to form a composite comprising treating an outer surface of the rubber vulcanizate with a first solution of an organic compound containing a ##STR1## linkage dissolved in a solvent where X is a halogen, then coating the treated surface with a second solution of a diphenylmethane diisocyanate-based compound dissolved in a solvent and thereafter casting a urethane elastomer over the coated surface and curing the composite.
