Patent number: 11926285Abstract: A remote communication system includes a portable device; and a fixed system. The fixed system includes main communication modules; and a position estimating unit configured to estimate a position of the portable device, based on an incident angle of a signal from the portable device, upon detecting the signal by antennas provided in the main communication modules. When there are two main communication modules for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the incident angle. When there is one main communication module for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the incident angle and a received radio wave intensity of the signal. When there is no main communication module for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the received radio wave intensity.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: ALPS ALPINE CO., LTD.Inventors: Yoshihisa Kishimoto, Keigo Wakana, Daisuke Takai, Yukimitsu Yamada, Mitsuharu Nakasato, Kazuma Sato

Patent number: 8044768Abstract: A keyless entry system includes a vehicle-side device and a portable device including a portable device electrode. The vehicle-side device includes a vehicle-side controller and a vehicle-side electrode that is disposed in a position where communication with the portable device is performed via a human body when a person is getting off a vehicle. When the person carrying the portable device is getting off the vehicle, an electric field is induced by the portable device electrode in the human body. The vehicle-side controller performs authentication of the portable device upon detection of the electric field by the vehicle-side electrode. The vehicle-side controller determines the portable device has been left in the vehicle if the vehicle-side controller has no history of authentication or cannot perform authentication upon detection of the person's action of getting off the vehicle. A predetermined operation is performed based on this determination.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2007Date of Patent: October 25, 2011Assignee: Alps Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuharu Nakasato, Yuya Kikuchi

Publication number: 20070093219Abstract: An object of the invention is to make it possible to maintain the communication quality good without reducing the transmission power of an antenna if a part of a human body comes in contact with or is brought close to the antenna. A transmitter 21 of a mobile communication terminal 1 is made up of a power amplifier 211 and a phase shifter 212 connected between an antenna 10 and the power amplifier 211. The impedance of the antenna 10 in a free space is previously matched to the output load impedance at the time of low output power of the power amplifier 211 and if the head, a finger, etc., touches the antenna 10 and the impedance increases, the phase shifter 212 changes the impedance of the antenna 10 to the output load impedance to increase the output power value of the power amplifier 211.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2004Publication date: April 26, 2007Applicant: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuharu Nakasato, Satoru Watanabe
