  • Patent number: 9849748
Abstract: A sprung vibration suppression device for a vehicle includes a motor for generating torque to generate driving/braking force at the vehicle wheels and shock absorbers. The device calculates a target driving/braking force including a base requested driving/braking force requested for driving the vehicle and a damping driving/braking force necessary for sprung damping control and controls the driving/braking force output from the motor in accordance with the target driving/braking force. The device sets the damping driving/braking force to zero and increases the damping force generated by the shock absorbers when the base requested driving/braking force is within a rattling noise generation range set for determining whether there is a possibility that rattling noise is generated in the gear device.

  • Patent number: 8548709
Abstract: A radar sensor detects a traveling state of a host vehicle. An inter-vehicle control ECU gives the amount of operation for the predetermined amount of control of the host vehicle so that the traveling state of the host vehicle detected by the radar sensor becomes a predetermined state. The amount of operation given by the inter-vehicle control ECU is reduced as a kind of restriction when the amount of operation given by the inter-vehicle control ECU becomes equal to or larger than a predetermined value. As a result, it is possible to reduce the dependence of the driver on the device.

  • Publication number: 20120218651
Abstract: A drive mechanism and an imaging device according to the present invention each include: an ultrasonic linear actuator 4 provided with a rod 42 that moves reciprocally in response to expansion/contraction of a piezoelectric element 41 and a first group unit 2 serving as an example of a moving body that engages with the rod 42 with a prescribed frictional force. The moving body (first group unit 2) is provided with a holding member 24, a pressing member 30 or other member that engages with the rod 42 in such a way that fluctuation in the frictional force is suppressed, and drive performance is stabilized. As a consequence, the drive mechanism and the imaging device according to the present invention can suppress fluctuation in the frictional force (gripping force) of the moving body in the ultrasonic linear actuator 4, making it possible to stabilize drive performance.

  • Publication number: 20090105922
Abstract: A running control apparatus for controlling a running state of a vehicle by adjusting acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle releases the running control in case of a predetermined steering operation or more while the vehicle is stopped during the running control. This prevents the vehicle from running in a direction not intended by a driver at the time of starting, and the driver can be prevented from feeling a sense of discomfort at that time. Preventing the vehicle from starting in the direction not intended by the driver can also improve the running safety. This can restrain the vehicle from running in a way not intended by the driver upon a steering operation while the vehicle is stopped.

  • Patent number: 7053794
Abstract: A parking assist device (1) includes a camera (3) for capturing an image of an exterior of a vehicle, and a monitor (4) for displaying the captured image, and sets a target parking position by moving a target parking frame (11) displayed on a screen of the monitor (4). A default position of the target parking frame (11) is determined based on a target parking position (P2) which is a relative position with respect to a parking preparation position (P1). The target parking position (P2) is estimated based on a running state of the vehicle until the vehicle reaches the parking preparation position (P1).

  • Patent number: 6929082
Abstract: In a parking assist apparatus that assists with moving, by automatic steering, a vehicle from an arbitrary stopping position to a target parking position set by the driver, a setting portion (i.e., a parking assist ECU) sets both a path from the stopping position to the target parking position and a steering operation necessary to bring the vehicle along that path. When this path cannot be set with the steering angle in the stopping position set as the initial steering angle, and when the path can be set with another steering angle as the initial steering angle, an instruction portion (i.e., a monitor or a speaker) instructs the driver to turn the steering wheel to this other steering angle.

  • Patent number: 6919822
Abstract: According to a parking assist device and a method for assisting parking of the invention, when a parking assist is canceled after a start of the parking assist, and the parking assist is restarted, a target parking position (P2B) is reset at a reset position (P1B). In the invention, at this time, the target parking position (P2B) is determined based on a target parking position (P2A) which is set at a parking preparation position (P1A), and the determined target parking position (P2B) is displayed on a screen of a monitor (4) as a default display position of a target parking frame (11) at a reset time.
