    Abstract: A positioning apparatus for applying adhesive tape to the surface of vertical members of automobile door sashes is disclosed. The apparatus includes a main body with a vertical member contact portion and a horizontal member contact portion. An engagement portion includes a plurality of engagement projections to engage with through-holes in the adhesive tape. A holding member holds a horizontal member between itself and the horizontal member contact portion of the main body using the restoring force of a spring. The holding member is attached to the main body in a manner such that it can swing up and down.

    Abstract: The present invention is an adhesive tape applicator 1 which applies an adhesive tape attached to a release liner to a door sash frame F of an automobile while removing the release liner as the adhesive tape applicator is moved along the door sash frame and comprises a holding element 2 which can slidably hold the door sash frame F, the holding element 2 comprising a guide element 11 which holds the door sash frame F and slidably guides the applicator and an elastic roller 9a which presses the adhesive tape to the door sash frame F. Thus, the present invention provides an adhesive tape applicator which is capable of applying an adhesive tape stably and accurately and provide an adhesive tape applicator which can realize improved operability and apply the adhesive tape at a high speed.

    Abstract: An adhesive tape applicator comprises a holding means 3 which slidably holds a door sash frame of an automobile, the holding means 3 comprising a guide means 4 which slidably holds the door sash frame and guides the applicator along the door sash frame, a pressing portion 7 which presses the adhesive tape and an adhesive tape guide means which separates a release liner from the adhesive tape the leads the adhesive tape to a pressing portion 6, the adhesive tape guide means comprising a tape passage which is disposed at the front side of the pressing portion 6 in the sliding direction of the applicator and extends from the vicinity of the pressing point of the pressing portion 6 to a rear position in the pressing direction and a movable part 9 which is slidably supported in the sliding direction of the applicator or the opposite direction across the tape passage. Thus, the present invention is capable of stably and accurately applying the adhesive tape at a high speed and improving operability.

    Abstract: An adhesive tape applicator of the present invention comprises a first holding piece 2 and a second holding piece 3 for holding a door sash frame therebetween, the first holding piece 2 having at least one elastic rollers 5 for pressing the adhesive tape against an object face of the door sash frame, the second holding piece 3 having at least one guide rollers 6 being provided on the opposite side to the object face of the door sash frame, the guide rollers 6 having a groove 6a engaging with a rib 6 extending in the longitudinal direction of the door sash frame. The adhesive tape applicator is capable of applying the adhesive tape to the door sash frame of an automobile stably and accurately, and further provides an adhesive tape applicator which is capable of applying the adhesive tape with improved operability and speedily.
