Abstract: The present invention provides a positioning apparatus in which the correction of discordance between the probe card and TAB can be performed easily and quickly. The positioning apparatus of the present invention comprises a probe card, TAB, arithmetic processing unit, and an automatic XY-moving mechanism. In the positioning apparatus, coordinates which denote a position of an optionally selected probe of the probe card and a position of a test pad of the TAB in which the probe is expected to make contact are entered into the arithmetic processing unit. The arithmetic processing unit automatically calculates corrective distances for contacting the test pad and probe, and outputs a signal corresponding to the corrective distances to the automatic XY-moving mechanism. The automatic XY-moving mechanism automatically moves the probe card toward the TAB in proportion to the corrective distances.

Abstract: A COF autohandler capable of transporting a COF tape and comprising guide members for transporting the COF tape at the back face serving as an entire guide mechanism and rotary rollers each having a sprocket-like shape serving as a guide member for guiding the COF tape at the front face where a pattern is formed. Cylindrical support sections are provided to fill up an interior of sub-sprockets, pulleys and the main sprockets so that the COF tape 11 is prevented from falling in a gap between the cylindrical support sections. Rotary rollers each having a sprocket-like shape are provided on the tensioners to prevent the COF tape from falling in the gap.

Abstract: A high-pressure phase boron nitride sintered body for cutting tools consists of a high-pressure phase boron nitride and an intermetallic compound containing a titanium carbonitride Ti(C,N) and at least one metal of Al, W, Co and Zr, and is produced by mixing the above components, and then sintering at a temperature of not lower than 1000.degree. C. under a pressure of not less than 2.4 GPa but less than 4 GPa.
