  • Patent number: 8077587
Abstract: A laser attachment device of the present invention is formed of a LD package and a LD holder housing it. A first inner wall of the LD holder to come into contact with a side surface of the LD package is an inclined surface. This allows the facing direction of the LD package to be corrected by the first inner wall being the inclined surface, even when a laser beam emitted from a light emitting chip housed in the LD holder is inclined with respect to an optical axis. Thus, the traveling direction of the laser beam is corrected to the optical axis side.

  • Publication number: 20110205878
Abstract: In a laser attachment device of the preferred embodiment of the invention, a pair of protruding portions are formed on a seating surface of a LD holder by which the position of a CAN package is fixed. The CAN package inserted in a through-hole comes into contact with the pair of protruding portions, and then is fixedly bonded to the inside of the LD holder while being inclined with the protruding portions being the starting point of the inclination. This structure allows the luminance adjustment of a laser beam to be performed without causing displacement of the emitting direction of the laser beam from an optical axis of an optical pick-up device. Thus, the laser attachment device having an improved workability and being suitable for mass production is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7751738
Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an image former to form a toner image on an image bearer. A primary transferer transfers the toner image from the image bearer to the outer surface of an intermediate transferer as primary transfer by applying a primary transfer bias. A secondary transferer transfers the toner image from the outer surface of the intermediate transferer to a sheet as secondary transfer by applying a secondary transfer bias. A cleaner cleans the toner residual on the surface of the intermediate transferer after the secondary transfer by applying a cleaning bias having a polarity opposite to electric charges of the toner. A controller causes the intermediate transferer to rotate continuously and causes the primary transferer to apply the primary transfer bias until a toner image forming area on the outer surface of the intermediate transferer passes the primary transferer after the secondary transfer.

  • Publication number: 20100033865
Abstract: One purpose of the invention according to one embodiment is to provide a magnetic recording apparatus of high recording density in which magnetization transition curvature amount of a recording pattern is small. In one embodiment, the center of a heating area is arranged at a track edge side of a recording pattern as compared with the width-direction center position of a main magnetic pole of a recording head, and a recording magnetic field is applied while a medium is locally heated at the time of signal recording. A switching magnetic field of the medium is locally reduced by heating, so that a line where the switching magnetic field of the medium is equal to the recording magnetic field from the head approaches the heating center position, and a desired recording pattern in which the transition curvature amount is reduced can be realized. Other systems and methods are also presented.

  • Patent number: 7657214
Abstract: Disclosed is an image forming apparatus, which comprises an intermediate transfer belt (15), and a plurality of image-forming units (11) to (14) disposed along the intermediate transfer belt (15) and adapted to form toner images of different colors and sequentially transfer the toner images onto the intermediate transfer belt (15) in a superimposed manner so as to form a color toner image. The intermediate transfer belt (15) is laid across a drive roller (16), a driven roller (17) and a tension roller (18), in a tensioned condition. A rotation speed of the tension roller (18) adapted to apply a tension to the intermediate transfer belt (15) is detected to obtain a linear speed of the intermediate transfer belt (15). In a process of color-misregistration correction, a write-start timing for each toner image of the colors is adjusted based on the linear speed of the intermediate transfer belt (15).

  • Patent number: 7444091
Abstract: The difference between the light reception output signals representing the amounts of regularly and irregularly reflected light as measured, with optical detecting means that can measure the amount of regularly and irregularly reflected light simultaneously, when no toner is adhered to a transfer belt is set as a reference value, a corrected output value is calculated by correcting, based on the reference value, the difference between the light reception output signals representing the amounts of regularly and irregularly reflected light as measured when a toner image is formed, and the amount of toner adhered to the transfer belt is calculated based on the corrected output value. With transfer belts of different colors, if their surface gloss is equal to or lower than a predetermined value, the relationship between the coverage ratio and the toner adhesion amount remains approximately identical.
