  • Patent number: 7458793
Abstract: A mold for in-mold decorating that includes a stationary mold member and a movable mold member through which a decorating film can be passed. At least one of the mold members includes a cavity-forming block with molding cavity configured to receive a design pattern of the decorating film, a dieset, and engaging portions for mounting the cavity-forming block on the dieset. Clamping-force receiving portions are located around the cavity-forming block such that a clamping force is not applied to the decorating film when the mold members are joined.

  • Publication number: 20070184148
Abstract: A mold for in-mold decorating simultaneously with molding manufacturable at low cost in a short delivery period in manufacturing the mold and capable of stably mass-producing molded article in molding the molded articles, wherein cavity forming blocks having molding cavities into which an in-mold decoration film is to be inserted are mounted on diesets on a fixed side and a movable side. Pockets into which the cavity forming blocks are fitted are not formed in the diesets, the diesets and cavity forming blocks are positioned by engaging projections formed on one of the contact faces thereof and engaging recesses formed in the other before installation, and a plurality of mold clamping force receiving parts are installed on the outside of a film passing area around the cavity forming blocks.

  • Patent number: 5722278
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus incorporates tension rolls which feed a material along a longitudinal direction thereof. The tension rolls are arranged at predetermined intervals and are driven. Also, forming rolls which form the fed material are arranged alternatingly on both sides in the width direction of the material between adjacent tension rolls. The roll forming apparatus described above prevents scratches on the material from forming as a result of the material sliding on the forming rolls.

  • Patent number: 5090227
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus comprises a plurality of driving roll stands and a plurality of drivingless roll stands, wherein the drivingless roll forming stand comprises an upper and a lower roll units and side roll units arranged around a central through-hole of a plate member supported by a supporting post. Each of the roll forming stands is adapted for automatically positioning each of the rolls associated therewith to preset positions for bending operation. The plate member is rotatable about the axis of the central hole, and a transverse slide table fixedly mounting the supporting post is transversely movable to the axis. Molding laces for cars are roll formed by bending a strip during travelling through a series of these adjusted roll stands.

  • Patent number: 4663957
Abstract: A roll stand used for a cold forming apparatus wherein a body of the roll stand has a slant surface on which a pair of non-driving rolls are installed so as to press sheet metal therebetween. The angle between the slant surface of the body and a base on which the body is installed is adjustable by rotating the body, thereby twisting the sheet metal.

  • Patent number: 4578978
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus for forming a flat strip material into a channel shape. This apparatus is composed of a first driving station, a second driving station, and at least two forming stations disposed between the both driving stations. Each driving station respectively contains a pair of driving rolls. The driving rolls of the second driving station is thus constructed to pull the strip at the higher speed than those of the first driving station. Therefore, to the portion of the strip between the first and second driving stations is applied a tensile stress while the strip is sent to the second driving station from the first driving station. At least two forming stations are disposed and respectively contain a pair of forming rolls which are rotated by the moving strip. At the same time, the strip is formed by the forming rolls. As the forming roll used in the present apparatus is a driven roll, maintenance such as adjusting the rotating speed of each station is not necessary.
