    Abstract: A carburetor includes a choke valve and a throttle valve, a controlling prime mover and a driving shaft rotated by the prime mover. First and second cam plates are provided for controlling the opening of the choke valve. A third cam plate is provided for controlling the opening of the throttle valve. Each cam plate is supported on the driving shaft. A displacement detection plate is also mounted on the driving shaft for detecting rotational displacement of the cam plates. A phase shift preventing arrangement locks together the cam plates for the choke valve, the cam plate for the throttle valve and the displacement detection plate to avoid relative phase shift between the same.
