  • Patent number: 8775782
Abstract: A network boot system including one or more client terminals, a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server, a PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) server, a TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) server, a database administration server, one or more storage devices, and an authentification server (such as a Radius server) connected to each other via a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol)/Internet Protocol) network. A plurality of LU provided in the storage devices as separated into a system area LU and a user area LU prepared per user.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 29, 2010
Date of Patent: July 8, 2014
Assignee: Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation
Inventors: Toshikazu Ichikawa, Junichi Oka, Mitsukazu Washisaka
  • Patent number: 8412935
Abstract: A storage system that administrates data to be mounted on a client terminal, the data being categorized into a plurality of generations, and that controls data in response to a request to mount data received from the client terminal. The storage system including a storage unit that stores a first generation that is currently under operation as operational data, a second generation that had functioned as the operational data as backup data, and a third generation that is to be in operation as standby data, and a switching unit that switches the first and the third generations such that the third generation is stored as the operational data, and the first generation is stored as the backup data, and that switches the first and the second generations such that the second generation is stored as the operational data, and the first generation is stored as the backup data.

  • Patent number: 8261364
Abstract: An administration server determines whether a request from a first client terminal is for authentication of a specific user who is in a log-in state via a second client terminal. When the request is for the specific user, the administration server performs a first or a second control, the first control including creating a new password; replacing an old password that is for the specific user to log-in to a network via the second client terminal with the new password; and sending the new password to the first client terminal, and the second control including determining that the request is disapproval; and sending a result of disapproval to the first client terminal. A double-log in by the same user and crush of an individual storage unit caused by a double-log in with the same user ID can be prevented.
