Patent number: 5391866Abstract: A feed screw (3) is coupled to a stepping motor (2) and a moving member (4) is provided along the feed screw (3). The moving member (4) includes a rack (7) that is meshed with the feed screw (3). The moving member (4) has a lens supporting member (9) secured to its lower end, and a light emitting element (13) and a slit (4) are fixed to the lens supporting member (9). A semiconductor position detecting element (15) is secured within a lens housing in association with the slit (14). If the position of a lens (L) is fluctuated by a shock or the like when or after an image is properly focused, a distance in which a light passed through the slit (14) from the light emitting element (13) is moved on the semiconductor position detecting element (15) is electrically converted to drive the motor (2), thereby the lens (L) being recovered to the properly-focused position. The number of teeth of the feed screw in which the teeth are skipped when the rack is disengaged is determined precisely.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1993Date of Patent: February 21, 1995Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Mitsuo Hoshino, Atsushi Takano

Patent number: 4501465Abstract: A multiconnector includes a body composed of first, second and third blocks, the first and second blocks being joined at their ends with an insertion slot being defined therebetween for insertion therein or removal therefrom of a companion connector. The third block is fitted in the insertion slot on one side thereof and sandwiches the first and second blocks to keep them joined together. At least one of the first and second blocks support a plurality of contacts arrayed in the longitudinal direction thereof and disposed respectively in guide grooves in the insertion slot. The contacts have free end portions held in resilient engagement with the third block and hence preloaded for reliable and stable electric contact with contacts of the companion connector inserted in the insertion slot. After the contacts are retained on the block or blocks, the first, second and third blocks are combined and assembled together.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1982Date of Patent: February 26, 1985Assignees: Sony Corporation, Hosiden Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuo Hoshino, Osamu Fukushima, Toshio Kakuta

Patent number: 4497529Abstract: A connector for making electrical connections to the terminals of an integrated circuit comprises a plurality of ribs formed integrally with a rectangular-prism-shaped base at regular intervals in its lengthwise direction to extend across the top surface of the base. Contacts are each housed and retained between adjacent ones of the ribs and conductors for connection are respectively placed on the contacts. By assembling a cover of an insulating material with the base to cover its top surface, a slider made of metal and attached to the cover is slightly moved back and forth for engagement with the base, locking the cover with the base.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1982Date of Patent: February 5, 1985Assignees: Sony Corporation, Hosiden Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuo Hoshino, Osamu Fukushima, Toshio Kakuta

Patent number: 4490763Abstract: A tape cassette for a magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus has at least one reel contained in a housing formed with an opening through which a tape wound on a reel can be withdrawn from the cassette housing for recording of signals thereon or reproducing the signals therefrom, and a lid is provided to move between a closed position covering the housing opening and an opened position exposing the housing opening. The lid is pivoted on the housing by means of a pair of pins which are formed on ear portions directed rearwardly from opposite ends of the lid and a pair of arcuated grooves receiving the pair of pins, respectively, and which are formed on side walls of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1982Date of Patent: December 25, 1984Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Mitsuo Hoshino, Takashi Yamamoto

Patent number: 4479686Abstract: A connector body has a plurality of contacts and a plug hole made in a front face of the connector for receiving a plug. Terminals connected to the contacts are led out to extend perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of the plug hole along a side surface of the connector body adjacent the front face in which the plug hole is made. The outer peripheral surface of the connector body is shaped to permit control of the depth of insertion of the connector body into a connector insertion hole in a printed-circuit board. The actual insertion depth is determined by selection of the shape of the connector insertion hole in the printed-circuit board, by which the connector terminals can be connected to laminar conductors deposited on either one or both of the surfaces of the printed-circuit board.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1982Date of Patent: October 30, 1984Assignees: Sony Corporation, Hosiden Electronics Co. Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuo Hoshino, Osamu Fukushima, Toshio Kakuta

Patent number: 4470560Abstract: A cassette adapter for use with an information signal recording and/or reproducing apparatus and adapted to receive a smaller cassette containing magnetic tape wound on normally locked supply and take-up reels comprises a rotational force transmission device for winding the magnetic tape on the take-up reel, and a crank device connected to the rotational force transmission device for withdrawing the magnetic tape from the smaller cassette. A reel release device can be provided to operate in synchronism with the crank device, the reel release device being operative to a first position for releasing one of the reels for rotation, and being operative to a second position for releasing both of the reels for rotation. The rotational force transmission device can control movement of the take-up reel during a rewind operation sufficient to maintain the magnetic tape in a continuously tensioned state.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 1982Date of Patent: September 11, 1984Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Yoneya, Mitsuo Hoshino
