  • Patent number: 7566088
Abstract: A sun visor for an automobile having a plate-like core provided with multiple micropores each having a diameter ranging from 1 to 5 mm. Open area ratio representing the ratio of the total area of micropores to the projected area of the plate-like core ranges from 2% to 30%. Alternatively, a sun visor for an automobile has a skeletonic core having an air permeability equal to that of the plate-like core provided with multiple micropores. The plate-like core or the skeletonic core is covered with a covering member having a high air permeability.

  • Patent number: 7380858
Abstract: A sound absorbing structure for an automobile having a seating portion, an upper surface of which serves as a passenger seating surface in the cabin, the structure includes an interior base material provided on a cabin side of a body panel; the interior base material forming a side face when seen from a passenger seated on the seating portion; the interior base material having a recessed portion formed in the cabin side of the interior base material; the recessed portion formed on an upper side of the seating surface; and a sound absorbing material buried in the recessed portion. An automobile sun visor includes a plate-form core material; an air-permeable cushioning material covering a surface of the core material; and the plate-form core material having a large number of air holes penetrating in a thickness direction formed in a dispersed manner.

  • Publication number: 20020088541
Abstract: The method disclosed is for thermoplastic welding, by fusion bonding, an integral assembly of at least two composite thermoplastic parts (2, 4). One part (2) is integrally molded with a plurality of ribs (7) to be used and bonded to their mates (8) of the counterpart (4). A heat generator assembly (3) applies heat energy to the ribs (7, 8) of the parts so as to heat and thus fuse them. Immediately after the application of the heat energy, pressure is applied to the heated parts (2, 4) to push them together. The heated ribs (7) of the part (2) are consequently aligned and bonding contacted with the heated ribs (8) of the counterpart (4). This application of pressure is maintained during a predetermined period to facilitate fusion bonding of the ribs (7, 8). Finally, an integral assembly in which the part (2) is rigidly welded to the counterpart (4) the ribs (7, 8) is produced.
