  • Patent number: 5177860
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a magnetic head wherein forming plural belleville springs in the same arrangement as that of plural head sliders formed on a single slider wafer and bonding the belleville springs to the slider wafer, then cutting the slider wafer into individual head sliders thereby to obtain many head sliders having the belleville springs respectively.

  • Patent number: 5161076
Abstract: A magnetic head suspension according to the present disclosure includes a protrusion provided at the center of a flexure for mounting and supporting a magnetic head slider or on the tip end of a load beam for exerting a given load on the magnetic head slider such that the tip end of the protrusion is a support point, further including a fixing section for fixing said flexure on the tip end of said load beam and a magnetic head slider mounting section separated from said fixing section through a stepped portion.

  • Patent number: 5070425
Abstract: A magnetic disk, which has a surface with two groups of streaks, the streaks in one group crossing with those in the other group, thus reducing the dynamic friction between a magnetic head and the magnetic disk and also variations in the dynamic friction.

  • Patent number: 4939603
Abstract: In a magnetic head slider having a air-bearing surface facing a magnetic medium, and a taper surface inclined with respect to the air-bearing surface, the above-mentioned taper surface is shaped as a convex surface with the curvature facing the magnetic medium.

  • Patent number: 4197566
Abstract: First and second gimbal springs are used for following precisely a magnetic head slider held by a head holder on a recording surface of a rotating magnetic disc. The head slider is held on a front surface of the first gimbal spring at the center and a pivot is fitted on the center of the second gimbal spring and the end of the pivot is contacted with the rear surface of the first gimbal spring at the center and the first and second gimbal springs are in flat in a free condition. During the working time when contacting the head slider with the recording surface in a floating condition, the gimbal spring in the side of the recording surface is in substantially flat whereas during the non-working time, both gimbal springs are formed to expand to both sides.
