  • Patent number: 7853284
Abstract: In a transmission power control method, a receiver receives user data transmitted intermittently from a transmitter to a receiver and control data transmitted continuously from the transmitter to a plurality of receivers including the receiver via a DPDCH and a CPICH, respectively; and generates, when the receiver is receiving the user data from the transmitter via the DPDCH, a command for controlling transmission power of the transmitter of a DPDCH in a manner that an SIR of a received signal of the DPDCH by the receiver becomes equal to a target SIR, and generates, when the receiver is not receiving the user data from the transmitter via the DPDCH, a command for controlling the transmission power of the transmitter of the DPDCH by updating the target SIR by using received quality of the CPICH.

  • Patent number: 7493137
Abstract: The present invention provides a mobile station able to shorten the processing time of selecting a serving base station and able to select an appropriate serving base station with which the mobile station communicates. Mobile phone 40 receives an advertisement message from a peripheral base station 30, until state of communication path to the peripheral base station remains above a reference level over the predetermined time period, ‘Treselection’, wherein the reference level is calculated by adding the parameter ‘Qhyst’ to state of communication path to the current serving base station. After detecting peripheral base station 30, mobile phone 40 ignores the detection that the condition of changing base stations is fulfilled for another peripheral base station 30, until data storage area is updated in accordance with an advertisement message from the peripheral base station 30.

  • Publication number: 20070019587
Abstract: There is provided a mobile radio station and a communication parameter control method thereof capable of shortening a time period required for speed detection and thereby controlling a communication parameter quickly and with little power. A mobile radio station performing communication based on a communication parameter preliminarily set includes a positioning unit measuring a position of the own apparatus based on information acquired via GPS and/or information acquired from at least one base station, a speed detection unit detecting a moving speed of the own apparatus based on positions measured at different times, and a parameter selection function unit varying the communication parameter according to the moving speed detected. The positioning unit may calculate a distance from the base station to the mobile radio station based on a time period from when a signal is sent from the base station to when the signal reached the mobile radio station.

  • Patent number: 7069040
Abstract: A mobile phone 1 according to the present invention stores first broadcast information received from a base station B1, in correspondence with first cell information in a storage unit 5. When the mobile phone 1 receives second cell information from a base station B2, it determines whether there is previously stored cell information identical with the second cell information, in a cell information storage table 51. When the result of the determination is that it is stored, the mobile phone 1 reads out the first broadcast information and transfers to a cell according to the first broadcast information. When it is not stored, the mobile phone receives second broadcast information and transfers to a cell according to the second broadcast information. Namely, the mobile phone 1 makes the cell transfer according to minimum data within a range in which a cell as a potential transfer target can be identified.

  • Patent number: 4862059
Abstract: Primary and secondary windings of each transformer in a three-phase system each form a pair of independent windings, the first winding of each of the primary and secondary pairs formed on the iron core of one of the transformers and the second winding of each of the primary and secondary pairs formed on the iron core of the transformer adjacent thereto are connected in series to each other. These serially connected windings are regarded as one phase winding respectively, and they are connected to each other in either a delta connection or a Y connection. A variation in the voltage phase caused by a change in the load current of one of the system outputs has an influence not only on the phase of the voltage at that output but also on the phase of the voltages on the outputs adjacent thereto and consequently enables the deviation in the phase difference between the output phase voltages due to loss of balance of the load to be decreased to about one half.
