    Abstract: A plurality of first terminal pins are placed side by side in a first direction. A plurality of second terminal pins are placed to extend in parallel with the plurality of first terminal pins. The plurality of first terminal pins and the plurality of second terminal pins include an inside face facing each other, an outside face opposite to the inside face, and side faces connecting the inside face and the outside face. At least one of the side faces includes a first portion having a relatively rough surface, and a second portion having a relatively fine surface and having approximately the same roughness as the inside face and the outside face.

    Abstract: A system for controlling a temperature of a molten resin in a cylinder of an extruder includes a plurality of temperature detecting elements which are disposed in a wall of the cylinder generally in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the cylinder to detect the temperature of the cylinder. The temperature detecting elements are radially spaced by different distances from an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder wall. Detecting devices are provided for detecting an ambient temperature of the extruder and the number of revolutions of a screw of the extruder. A microprocessor unit is programmed to be responsive to detecting signals from the temperature detecting elements and detecting devices to calculate a proper estimated temperature of the molten resin and to calculate a difference between a desired temperature of the resin and the estimated temperature and to determine in accordance with this difference a set temperature of the cylinder wall.

    Abstract: A tape transport is disclosed and claimed for moving recorded tape that contains both recorded sections and non-recorded sections between a loaded reel and a takeup reel. The transport is adapted for both the normal play, fast forward, and rewind modes and for an additional two modes, detecting fast forward and detecting rewind, in which the tape moves in fast forward or rewind through a recorded section until a non-recorded section is detected, at which point the transport automatically shifts to the play mode. A selector for choosing the desired mode can be operated by a single control lever. Or a first control for choice between play, fast forward, and detecting fast forward, and a second control for choice between play, rewind, and detecting rewind can be provided.

    Abstract: A cassette loading and unloading device has a guiding element for positioning a cassette either in an ejected position or in an inserted position, a spring for urging the guiding element towards the ejected position and a locking element for locking the guiding element in the inserted position. The locking element is held in a locked position by the energization of an electromagnet which is effected during the closure of a switch. The release of the guiding element from the locking element and the movement of the guiding element to the ejected position are established when the switch is turned off to de-energize the electromagnet.

    Abstract: In a magnetic-tape sound recorder including mode-selecting and selected mode holding means for selecting a desired mode out of a plurality of modes of operation and holding the selected mode until the mode is to be cleared, an automatic start and shut-off apparatus comprising locking means for holding the operational component parts of the recorder in a locked condition until the locking condition is automatically terminated. Also provided in the apparatus is an unlatching means operative to clear the selected mode in the mode-selecting and selected mode holding means. Motion translating means between the locking and unlatching means holds the unlatching means disengaged from the mode-selecting and selected-mode holding means when the locking means is operative to hold the operational component parts in the locked conditions.
