  • Patent number: 8150077
Abstract: To obtain a composite type microphone, the microphone preventing an increase in size and weight and thereby improving the freedom for installation and handling while keeping the phases of signals output from respective microphone units the same. A composite type microphone that incorporates microphone units of different electroacoustic conversion methods into a common microphone body is provided. Here, in a front acoustic terminal portion of a first microphone unit based on one electroacoustic conversion method, a second microphone unit based on another electroacoustic conversion method is disposed, and in the front acoustic terminal portion of the first microphone unit, an air that vibrates in the same phase with that of a vibrating plate of the first microphone unit exists, and within the air that vibrates in the same phase with that of the vibrating plate of the first microphone unit, the second microphone unit is disposed.

  • Patent number: 4124783
Abstract: A transducer comprises a body including a permanent magnet having a pair of pole pieces which define a magnetic gap therebetween, and a stylus assembly including a pair of coils which are positioned within the magnetic gap. The stylus assembly comprises a cantilever arm having a stylus tip at one end, a non-magnetic carrier secured to the other end of the cantilever arm, a pair of armatures in the form of rods of a magnetic material and carried on the carrier, each of the armatures having one of the coils disposed thereon, and support means for mounting the cantilever arm and the carrier on the body in an oscillatable manner. The coils and the associated armatures are located on the opposite sides of a first imaginary vertical plane which includes the axis of the cantilever arm and lie in a second imaginary vertical plane which is perpendicular to the first plane.

  • Patent number: 3983335
Abstract: A stylus assembly for an electromechanical vibration transducer comprises a single magnet armature lying in a first imaginary vertical plane which passes through the fulcrum of a cantilever arm and is perpendicular to a second imaginary vertical plane in which the axis of the arm lies, the armature further lying in a first imaginary horizontal plane which is parallel to a second imaginary horizontal plane in which lies a line joining the fulcrum and the center of a stylus tip, the lines joining each end of the armature and fulcrum coinciding with the axes of modulation of a sound groove. An electromechanical vibration transducer incorporating such a stylus assembly comprises pairs of pole pieces each pair defining a gap, each end of the armature being disposed within the gap formed between the respective pair of pole pieces each pair of pole pieces is associated with a magnetic core about which a coil is wound.
