  • Patent number: 6810359
Abstract: A maintenance and management method of equipment for production operations, comprising: obtaining machinery component defect data by inspecting the equipment; performing countermeasures and inspections based on these data; obtaining defect frequency data and inspection standards data, classifying the defects of the equipment by importance; repeating an overall inspection based on the defect frequency data until the defect frequency data of all defect locations have lowered to a standard value or lower; then, producing operating standards data based on inspection standards data; and performing maintenance and management by individually feeding back the operating standards data to each operator, and a maintenance and management support system used for performing the method. The above maintenance and management method changes the forced deterioration of equipment to natural deterioration and standardizes the skill and knowledge level of each operator about the production machinery.

  • Publication number: 20020138169
Abstract: The present invention provides an index to make possible the evaluation of production efficiencies of a plant and provides a device for calculating that index. The device for calculating the overall plant efficiency according to the present invention comprises: (1) a means for calculating an availability, (2) a means for calculating a performance rate, (3) a means for calculating a quality rate, and a means for calculating the overall plant efficiency which is a product of items (1) through (3). The ratios (1) through (3) are indices reflecting categories in which all the factors causing reductions in the production efficiency of the plant are collected and categorized. The overall plant efficiency is an index whereby those items are comprehensively evaluated and the extent of assets utility can be evaluated.

  • Publication number: 20020099463
Abstract: The present invention provides an index to make possible the evaluation of the production efficiencies of equipment in a machining factory on the same level, and provides a device for calculating that index. The device for calculating the overall equipment efficiency according to the present invention comprises: (1) a means for calculating a time utilization ratio, (2) a means for calculating a capacity utilization ratio, (3) a means for calculating a non-defective products ratio, and a means for calculating the overall equipment efficiency which is a product of items (1) through (3). All the factors causing reductions in the production efficiency of each of the facilities are collected and categorized, and the ratios (1) through (3) are indices reflecting categories thus obtained. The overall equipment efficiency is an index whereby those are comprehensively evaluated and the equipment can be compared on the same level.

  • Patent number: 5150097
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motor driven type bell striking device to be employed in electric bells. The device incorporates a cam coupled with the rotating drive shaft of an electric motor, the cam translating the rotary motion of the motor to an oscillating action which serves to impel a piston, the piston then impelling a striking member which is coupled with the base or frame of the bell by a spring. In one preferred embodiment, the previously mentioned spring is a coil spring which wraps around the piston. In a second preferred embodiment, a leaf spring is employed. In both embodiments, the energy of the moving piston is translated into inertia in the striking member. Because the striking member is relatively free floating in the direction in which it moves, a sharp, clear ring sound is made possible with each impact of the striking member.

  • Patent number: 4183018
Abstract: In a motor driven type gong striking mechanism, the rotation of the main shaft of an electric motor is converted through a crank mechanism into the oscillation of a piston plate, a gong striking hammer is coupled through a spring to the piston plate so that the hammer is oscillated, and a gong is disposed in the range of oscillation of the hammer. Thus, as a result of the rotation of the motor, the hammer is oscillated to strike the gong provided in the stroke of the hammer.
