  • Patent number: 10371466
Abstract: A method of cooling moist air through a heat exchange surface suppresses the formation of dew and frost on a heat exchange surface by preparing a carrier which has a heat conduction ratio higher than that of the moist air if the air temperature in a temperature boundary layer, is below the dew-point when the air temperature in the temperature boundary layer is above 0° C., or below the freezing-point when the air temperature in the temperature boundary layer is below 0° C., the carrier being arranged within the temperature boundary layer and on the heat exchange surface, which is in contact with moist air and is used for cooling; and removing moisture from the air by condensing or sublimating water vapor in the moist air on the surface of the carrier by arranging the carrier opposite of the heat exchange surface and within the temperature boundary layer.

  • Patent number: 5062279
Abstract: An artificial snowfall system comprises a snowfall room (2) in which are properly disposed a snow catching element (4) made of materials excellent in gas permeability and an atomizer unit (8) for ejecting atomized particles of liquid into the room (2). The atomized particles are frozen by heat exchange with ambient air within the room (2). The ambient air is kept at a temperature of below a freezing point of the liquid and forms an air flow passing through the snow catching element (4). The air flow causes the frozen particles to be deposited on one side of the catching element (4) to form a snow layer thereon. A beater element (9) for beating the other side of the catching element (4) is oppositely disposed from the other side to have the snow layer separated from the catching element (4). The thus separated snow layer creates artificial snowfall in the room (2).

  • Patent number: 4739393
Abstract: A circuit for performing white balance correction using two color temperature sensors includes an image sensor for converting an image of an object to a color image signal, a luminance signal/color signal separator for separating an output of the image sensor into a luminance signal and a color signal, and at least one level correction means for correcting a level of the color signal output from the luminance signal/color signal separator, based on a first white balance correction signal or a second white balance correction signal supplied through a switching or disabling means. A first white balance correction signal generator is provided independently of the image sensor and generates the first white balance correction signal correlating to a color temperature of the object.
