  • Patent number: 5702143
Abstract: An arrangement for anchoring a partition or guard net to a rear side of seat back of foldable-type automotive seat in which the seat back is foldable onto the seat cushion. The arrangement comprises a reversible anchor engagement member and a storage tray member embedded in the rear side of seat back. The reversible anchor engagement member is rotatably provided for permitting its reversal in the storage tray member so as to select either a working engagement side with which an anchor member of the guard net is to be engaged and anchored, or a non-working flat side generally flush with the rear side of seat back. Thus, when in no use, the anchor engagement member may be reversed to expose such flat side in the storage tray member, which avoids contact with a baggage or article loaded on the rear side of seat back and prevents damage for both of the baggage and anchor engagement member.

  • Patent number: 5082228
Abstract: A seat adjuster for use in automotive seat employing a pair of slide rails for fore-and-aft adjustment of the seat with a locking mechanism, wherein, at one of the two slide rails disposed adjacent to a center of the automobile, there are arranged first and second shafts, such that the second shaft, which is provided with an operation handle, is disposed lower than the second one which is connected with the locking mechanism, with a link mechanism interposed between the two shafts for their mutual simultaneous rotations. Hence, the operation handle is positioned lower close to the automobile floor and disposed adjacent to the inner or center side of the automobile, so that occupant's foot or clothes is not contacted with the handle.

  • Patent number: 4903931
Abstract: A lifter for an automotive seat, comprising a drive assembly including a long forward link member and a short rearward link member, and an operation mechanism including a drive shaft, a housing rotatably provided on the drive shaft, a gear provided in the housing, the gear being connected to the drive shaft, and a pair of first and second pawl members rotatably pivoted in the housing, with such arrangement that either of those pawl members is selectively brought to engagement with the gear by means of a switch-over cam. An operation lever is equipped with the housing, and both drive assembly and operation mechanism are operatively connected together. Thus, repeated reciprocal rotation of the operation lever attains an easy adjustment of the seat at a desired higher or lower level in a swinging manner, which permits a small rotation range of the operation lever.
