Abstract: Provided is a container whose shape for discharging contents is hardly expandable laterally, the container including a container body holding contents and a lid member for closing an opening of the container body which are sealed with each other by an annular seal portion formed along a flanged face of the opening. At a specified position of the annular seal portion, there is provided a detaching seal portion which is to be detached by an increase of inside pressure inside the container body in association with deformation of the container body based on an external force. An outflow channel for discharging the contents therethrough extends radially outwards from the detaching seal portion. At a position of the container body corresponding to the outflow channel of the flanged face, there is formed an outflow groove which is sunk toward a bottom portion of the container body.

The seal head includes pressing end portions for pressing a lid member against a flange of an opening. At least a portion of the pressing end portions is formed as an uneven projecting portion having different curvature radii in its cross sectional contour between a radial inner portion and a radial outer portion of the opening.

A packaging material for boil/retort treatment having at least a transparent gas barrier film layer, an adhesive layer and a sealant film layer in that order, the packaging material for boil/retort treatment being one in which, when it is heated at 121° C. for 2 hours by contact with a sufficient amount of 95% ethanol in a one-side elution test, the masses of the unreacted residual ?-caprolactam and ?-laurolactam eluting into the 95% ethanol are no greater than 0.15 mg and no greater than 0.04 mg, respectively, per square inch of the sealant film layer, and a pouch comprising the material.
