Abstract: An injector for liquid medicine comprises a cylindrical body 1, first and second gasket 2, 3 contained in a lumen of cylindrical body 1. The cylindrical body 1 is provided with a fluid inlet 13 and a fluid outlet 14 in opposite sides of the cylindrical body 1 with respect to the longitudinal axis thereof. Second gasket 3 is spaced from the first gasket 2 to form a fluid chamber 4 between them. The first gasket 2 is adapted to be moved by sliding along the inner wall of the cylindrical body 1 from a first position to the distal end 11 of cylindrical body 1 via a second position. The fluid inlet 13 is opened at a position closer to the distal end 11 of the cylindrical body 1 than the outlet 14 is. The first gasket 2 is stopped at a second position where the fluid chamber 4 is communicated with the fluid outlet 14 but prevented from fluid-communication with the fluid inlet 13.

  • Publication number: 20040240353
Abstract: A system allowing a user to recognize that an optical disk apparatus is in a customized state. When an optical disk apparatus is customized by a user, system controller stores a customization parameter in a flash ROM. Upon receipt of an inquiry command at the time of activation of a host device, such as a PC, the system controller checks the content of the flash ROM and returns a command indicative of a customized state. Having received the command from the system controller, the PC displays any indication indicative of a customized state on a display device.

  • Publication number: 20040122374
Abstract: A transfer needle assembly including a cap-like outside guide member; a tubular inside guide member; and a puncture member. The puncture member has a tip fitting portion at a proximal end and a puncture needle at a distal end. The inside guide member can slide along an inner wall of a skirt portion of the outside guide member from a position where a distal end of the needle is receded in the inside guide member, to a position where the distal end of the needle projects outside of the inside guide member. At the position where the distal end of the needle is receded in the inside guide member, the outside guide member and the inside guide member are engaged so as to be incapable of sliding, with the engagement being releasable by inserting a mouth portion of a vial into the inside guide member.

  • Patent number: 6228324
Abstract: The sterilizing method according to the present invention is a method of sterilizing a medical product by a hydrogen peroxide gas while keeping the packaged condition. In such a sterilizing method, a packaging container (1) capable of allowing the hydrogen peroxide gas to penetrate therethrough is used, and after completion of the sterilizing treatment, the packaging container (1) is subjected to degassing treatment while heating, thereby removing the hydrogen peroxide gas from the inside thereof. As a result, it is possible to conduct the treatment efficiently and surely prevent the hydrogen peroxide gas from remaining in the packaging container. In addition, the injection packs (P) according to the present invention comprises the packaging container (1) and a medicine-filled injector (4) enclosed in the packaging container.

  • Patent number: 5783288
Abstract: A method of producing a developing roller applicable to a developing device included in an image forming apparatus and capable of carrying a great amount of toner thereon by generating microfields. The surface of a conductive base is covered with a net constituting of conductive fibers and dielectric fibers woven together. The fibers are heated by a heater to melt with the result that conductive portions and dielectric portions appear on the surface of the developing roller.

  • Patent number: 5583711
Abstract: A method of writing on a two-reel, belt driven, multitrack tape cartridge wherein tape tension increases with the progress of tape transportation from one reel to another. Forward tracks on the tape are predivided into a first group adjacent the tape centerline and a second group adjacent one tape edge, and reverse tracks are similarly predivided into a first and a second group. Writing on each of the first group of forward tracks is started in a position spaced a less distance from the tape beginning than on each of the second group of forward tracks. Writing on each of the first group of reverse tracks is also started in a position spaced a less distance from the tape end than on each of the second group of reverse tracks. Thus the tape offers a greater storage capacity than if, as is conventional in the art, writing on the first groups of forward and reverse tracks is started in the same longitudinal tape position as on the second groups of forward and reverse tracks.

  • Patent number: 5462035
Abstract: A supercharging device including an actuator for controlling return force of a resilient member in a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with a flyweight and a resilient member is provided. The actuator is employed so that a movable flange slides along the axis thereof away from a fixed flange in a drive pulley of the CVT when under a light load for which auxiliary machinery such as a supercharger driven by the CVT requires little driving force. The actuator is installed inside an input pulley through which the driving force of the engine is transmitted to the drive pulley.

  • Patent number: 5446605
Abstract: A bidirectional, multitrack magnetic tape subsystem is disclosed which is for use with a two-reel, belt-driven tape cartridge in which the tape tension increases linearly with tape travel in either direction. Upon completion of writing or reading data along one track, the tape is stopped at one extremity thereof and then reversed toward the other extremity, with the head unit held on said one track. Only after the tape has been reversed a predetermined short distance is the head unit shifted from said one to another track, preferably with the tape held at a standstill during such shifting. Thus the head unit travels between the bidirectional tracks on the tape when the tape tension is substantially at a minimum, thereby avoiding possible damage to the tape.

  • Patent number: 5319503
Abstract: A writing method suitable for practice with magnetic tape cassettes in particular. After writing a first stream of file data on the tape in the form of a series of file data blocks, there is created one or more, preferably two, file mark blocks immediately after the last file data block. Then, in writing a second stream of file data on a blank tape length left after the first file data stream, at least one file mark cancel mark block is created after the file mark blocks, instead of the conventional practice of overwriting the first block of the second file data stream on the second file mark block following the first file data stream. Then the second stream of file data is written in the form of another series of file data blocks after the cancel mark block. The first and second streams of file data can be subsequently read one after the other.
