  • Patent number: 8720434
Abstract: The invention provides a medicine ejection device which provides stable ejection even when a reservoir with high sealability is used and can eject an appropriate amount of medicine. A medicine ejection portion 1 includes an ejection nozzle 1a for ejecting a medicine and an element 1b which generates energy for ejecting the medicine from the ejection nozzle 1a, and is connected to a medicine storing portion 2 for storing the medicine. The medicine storing portion 2 is blocked from the outside air except a path through the ejection nozzle 1a, so that when the medicine is ejected from the ejection nozzle 1a, a pressure difference is formed between the outside and the inside of the medicine storing portion 2. A pressure unit 3 which is a feature of the present invention pressurizes a movable wall 5 when ejecting a medicine, which is displaced so that the volumetric capacity of the medicine storing portion 2 decreases due to the pressure difference.

  • Patent number: 8333188
Abstract: A medicine ejection apparatus which ejects a medicine for medicating a user has a medicine ejecting unit, which has an element that generates energy for ejecting the medicine, a drive control unit which controls a drive start and a drive stop of the element, and an ejection amount determining unit, which determines a total amount of a medicine that is ejected from the medicine ejecting unit after the element performs a drive stop. The drive control unit enables the element to perform driving to eject an amount of medicine calculated from a difference between a set ejection amount and the total amount of medicine that has actually been ejected, when the total amount ejected, as determined by the ejection amount determining unit, is less than the set ejection amount.

  • Publication number: 20120266878
Abstract: A liquid medicine ejection device for ejecting a liquid medicine as liquid droplets to be inhaled by a user includes means for providing information on the ejection to the user without providing means for determining a state of the ejection when a preliminary ejection operation is carried out, the preliminary ejection operation ejecting an amount of the liquid medicine smaller than an amount ordinarily ejected. The liquid medicine ejection device enables improved reliability of ejection and comfort of a user by carrying out preliminary ejection before inhalation and by making it possible for the user to visually or auditorily check an ejection state of minute liquid droplets with a relatively simple structure to see whether or not the preliminary ejection is carried out correctly.

  • Patent number: 7856975
Abstract: There is provided a liquid medicine ejection device to eject liquid medicine into an inhalation flow path in the form of liquid droplets, thereby to allow a user to inhale the liquid medicine through a suction portion. In the liquid medicine ejection device is an ejection means, which communicates with a liquid medicine storage section, for ejecting the liquid medicine in the form of liquid droplets from an ejection opening. A pressure variable means changes a pressure in the liquid medicine storage section in accordance with a change of pressure in the inhalation flow path connected to the ejection opening of the ejection means and the suction portion. According to the liquid medicine ejection device of the present invention, it is possible to prevent ejection failure caused by a negative pressure applied to the ejection means, thereby enabling reliable inhalation.

  • Publication number: 20100154793
Abstract: This medicine ejection device is directed at uniformizing an amount of a medicine inhaled by a user through a mouthpiece: and ejects a predetermined constant amount of the medicine by measuring a remaining amount of the medicine in a reservoir 7 at every inhalation time with the use of a strain gauge 37, which supplies the medicine through a connection tube 8b to an ejection head 8a for ejecting a medicine into a flow path 20 of a mouthpiece 4, so as to compensate for a decrease of an amount to be inhaled due to the deposition of the medicine in a nozzle (orifice) of the ejection head 8a, and by adjusting an ejecting operation duration of the ejection head 8a when the user inhales the medicine next time.

  • Patent number: 7721730
Abstract: An ejection apparatus for ejecting droplets of liquid includes a loading portion, a reader, and a judging unit. The loading portion detachably loads therein a liquid cartridge container for containing liquid, and a liquid ejection cartridge having an ejecting portion for ejecting liquid separately, or as a combined kit. The reader reads information attached to at least one of the liquid cartridge container and the liquid ejection cartridge. The judging unit judges, based on the information read by the reader, whether each of the liquid cartridge container and the liquid ejection cartridge loaded in the loading portion is appropriate, or whether a combination of the liquid cartridge container and the liquid ejection cartridge is a predetermined combination. The ejection apparatus allows a user to relatively readily and accurately carry out ejection of appropriate liquid by an appropriate ejection unit.
