  • Publication number: 20230365251
Abstract: [Object] To provide a riblet structure that increases resistance reducing performance and is easily manufacturable, and an object including such a structure on a surface thereof. [Solving Means] This riblet structure includes a plurality of wave-shaped riblets on a surface thereof, in which each of the riblets has a smaller peak height as an angle formed between a ridge line and a fluid flow direction becomes larger, a width between peak bases in a direction orthogonal to the fluid flow direction becomes smaller as the angle becomes larger, and an angle formed between a slope of a peak of the riblet and the surface at the peak base or a curvature at the peak base is identical at any position in a cross-sectional shape in the direction orthogonal to the fluid direction.

  • Patent number: 10882605
Abstract: The present invention provides a riblet structure that further reduces drag, which is a sum of turbulent friction drag and pressure drag, and an object including such a riblet structure. An object such as an aircraft, plant, and pipeline includes a wavelike riblet pattern on a surface. The wavelike riblet pattern includes a large number of wavelike riblets. Each of the large number of wave riblets includes a wavelike ridge line, and a height thereof changes cyclically with respect to a fluid flow direction. With such a configuration, drag, which is a sum of turbulent friction drag and pressure drag, can be further reduced.

  • Publication number: 20140102747
Abstract: A purpose is, in the case where a nonwoven member is hot pressed around a wire harness to form a protective member, to inhibit rotation of a vehicle body fixing component attached to the protective member while making a cross-sectional shape of the protective member as circular as possible. The wire harness includes a wire harness body containing at least one electric wire and a protective member formed by hot pressing a nonwoven member in a state of covering at least a portion of the wire harness body. The protective member has a protective body that is formed to have a circular cross-sectional shape and a projection forming part that has a partially projecting part formed on an outer periphery.

  • Publication number: 20130161092
Abstract: A wire harness includes a wire harness main body having at least one electric wire and a protection material formed by hot pressing a nonwoven material wrapped more than one time around a circumference of at least a portion in a longitudinal direction of the wire harness main body. A slimmed portion is provided to at least one end of the protection material, the slimmed portion being thinner than a middle portion of the protection material so that a portion where an external surface and an internal surface of the nonwoven material make contact with each other is entirely joined in a circumferential direction on a periphery of the wire harness main body.

  • Patent number: 6757084
Abstract: To control a light emitted from a fluorescent lamp having phosphors with different afterglow properties for different colors, a center of a lighting control signal for controlling the lighting of the fluorescent lamp is controlled to constantly align with the center of a Hsync period so that despite the variation of the lighting time of the fluorescent lamp, a barycenter of the quantity of light from the fluorescent lamp in the Hsync period almost aligns with the center of the Hsync period to reduce the offset of the barycenter.

  • Patent number: 6735000
Abstract: This invention relates to an image reading apparatus which eliminates color misregistration upon reading in the sub-scanning direction, which occurs due to different afterglow or persistence characteristics of the respective colors of a light source upon executing the light quantity control of the light source for illuminating an original. Since the light quantity control of the light source is divisionally done a plurality of times in one accumulation period of a solid-state image sensing element, any deviation of the center of gravity in the quantity of light from the center C of one accumulation period can be minimized, and the color misregistration can be eliminated remarkably.

  • Patent number: 6522789
Abstract: An image processing apparatus which is capable of combining two images desirably by providing weight and performing an image editing operation. The image processing apparatus has an addition/output device for adding the weighting factors of a first and a second image data and outputting it; a counter device for counting the image data in the direction of the main scanning or sub-scanning or in both of the directions; and an addition control means for changing the weighting factors in the weighting operation performed in the addition/output device on the basis of the count value of the counter means. As a result, weighting factors can be changed within one combined image. Thus, desired image editing operations can be performed.
