Abstract: Apparatus for moving a stack of folded cartons from a first container to a second container in an automatic carton feeding apparatus and providing support for the stack of folded cartons to prevent individual ones of the folded cartons from tumbling out of the stack during such movement. Two piston and cylinder assemblies are utilized for engaging opposite ends of the stack of folded cartons.

Abstract: An automatic carton feeding device for a liquid filling machine according to the present invention comprises a carton supply basket assembly divided into an upper and lower basket. The upper basket, which follows the lower basket connected to the liquid filling machine, is installed so as to take an upright and a tumbled position. The lower basket is provided with a receiving plate to receive cartons descending to the lower basket in an upright position of the upper basket. The receiving plate is supported so as to make a vertical motion and lateral retraction using an elevating mechanism.

Abstract: Apparatus provided with lateral cutters to effect lateral cuts at the upper and lower parts of a tape applied on to the flaps at both ends of a carton case. The cutters are installed on a mechanism for extending and retracting the cutters relative to the end face corners at both ends of the case. A cylinder is also provided for pushing and receiving cartons to prevent superposed cartons from tumbling as they are withdrawn from the case.
