  • Publication number: 20230215710
Abstract: A process of detecting a thickness of a film layer to be processed or a depth of etching by using a result of detection of a signal indicating intensity of interference light having a plurality of wavelengths formed at a plurality of time instants from when plasma is formed to when the etching is completed. A start time instant is detected by using an amount of change in the intensity of the interference light. Then, a remaining film thickness or the etching amount at an arbitrary time instant is detected from a result of comparing actual data indicating the intensity of the interference light at the arbitrary time instant during the processing after the start time instant with a plurality of pieces of data for detection of the intensity of the interference light obtained in advance and associated with values of a the film thicknesses or the depths of etching.

  • Patent number: 11493759
Abstract: It is an objective of this disclosure to protect a highly transparent hologram light guide plate from water vapor and ultraviolet ray, thereby suppressing deterioration of the hologram light guide plate even when employed in a head mount display used in outdoor environments. A hologram light guide plate according to this disclosure comprises a protection layer that protects a hologram layer and an intermediate layer that is placed between a glass layer and the protection layer, wherein the glass layer and the hologram layer form a transfer layer that transfers image light. The intermediate layer causes the image light to transfer only in the transfer layer in a section from an input area of the image light to an output area of the image light.

  • Publication number: 20140036648
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical disc device that provides a stable servo signal with a simple configuration during the use of an objective lens showing significant color aberration. At time T0, which is before the start of a write operation (time T2), a defocus application circuit 111 generates a defocus signal DF1 to be added to a focusing error signal FES. A tracking signal gain control circuit 113 changes a tracking signal gain correction amount to be given to a tracking error signal TES to TG1. The defocus signal generated from the defocus application circuit terminates at substantially the same time the write operation starts (time T2). After the focusing error signal FES is no longer offset (at time T3), the tracking signal gain correction amount generated from the tracking signal gain control circuit 113 is restored to a reference value.

  • Publication number: 20120051204
Abstract: An optical pickup compatible with two wavelengths such as an optical pickup having a two-wavelength, multi-laser source unit to be compatible with both DVDs and CDs prevents, in a simply structured optical system, error signal quality deterioration caused by relative shifting between laser beams and realizes detection of focus and tracking error signals. The optical system is provided with an optical waveguide device and a photodetector. The optical waveguide device includes a holographic diffraction grating having three regions divided by two approximately parallel division lines which extend respectively passing the optical axes of a laser beam for DVD and a laser beam for CD. The photodetector has plural light receiving surfaces each divided into three regions. This allows reliable focus and tracking error signals to be detected during both DVD reproduction and CD reproduction.
