Abstract: An electrophotographic copying apparatus having a copy board operatively movable along a path is provided with apparatus for releasably coupling the copy board to driving elements therefor including an endless power transmitting chain driven during operation of the copying apparatus, an intermediator having a closed vertical slot for nonreleasably receiving slidably within the slot engaging structure on the chain for carrying the intermediator during driven movement of the chain, and coupling structure releasably coupling the intermediator and the copy board for normally effecting movement of the board along its path by driven movement of the power transmitting chain.

Abstract: An electrophotographic copier is provided with a reciprocable copy board. An illuminating lamp is located between a pair of spaced frame members which have rails for guiding the copy board. An improved reflector for directing light from the lamp toward the copy board is formed as a single, unitary structure including a rearwardly-extending ledge directly and rigidly supporting the lamp on the ledge at a fixed, predetermined position and orientation with respect to the reflector such that relative adjustments between lamp and reflector are eliminated.

Abstract: A hollow fixing roll supported by bearing means, including a heater therewithin, an annular resin adiabatic member in the born part of the fixing roll and an annular rigid metal member disposed between the bearing means and the adiabatic member so as to cover the adiabatic member.
