  • Patent number: 6223610
Abstract: When a leaf spring 22 is rotated integrally with the rotation of a knob dial 18, the leaf spring 22 is pushed and deflected by three corners of a cylindrical section 17a. After that, when three corners of the cylindrical section 17a get over the leaf spring 22 and new three surfaces are engaged with the leaf spring 22, rotation of the knob dial 18 is regulated. In this case, the pushing direction of the leaf spring 22 is the same as the direction of deflection. Therefore, the rotational resistance of the knob dial 18 can be reduced. Accordingly, a feeling of operation of the knob dial 18 becomes light.

  • Patent number: 4343330
Abstract: A power steering device comprising: an input and an output shafts connected to each other by a torsion bar in a manner to be relatively rotatable in the same direction; a valve spool concentrically disposed around said input shaft and axially movably provided; balls provided in first moving paths and engaged with said valve spool; and pins formed on said valve spool and engaged with second moving paths. Said first moving paths are given torsions at a certain angle with respect to said second moving paths. Said valve spool is axially moved in accordance with a relative rotation between said input and output shafts to change one oil channel over to the other.

  • Patent number: 4078448
Abstract: In a fastening device for a tiltable steering wheel assembly, the locking lever of the device is set in the locked position beyond the rotary dead point of a rotary cam element pivoted on a fastening bolt so as to firmly hold the steering wheel at a desired angle with respect to the driver. The fastening device is provided with a rack element and a ratchet element to give click feeling to the driver in adjustment of the steering wheel.
