  • Patent number: 7082761
Abstract: A hydraulic continuously variable transmission includes a swash plate plunger pump, a swash plate plunger motor, and a closed hydraulic circuit for connecting them to each other, wherein a motor pivoting member is supported by a motor casing so as to be pivotally movable, with the swash plate angle being variably adjustable, to simplify the configuration of a swash plate as much as possible and to widen the swash plate angle range. An inner race of a ball bearing for supporting a transmission output shaft, to which a pump cylinder and a motor cylinder are connected, so that the transmission output shaft is rotatable relative to the motor casing is formed by cutting off an end face portion in the axial direction, on the side of facing the motor pivoting member.

  • Patent number: 7000388
Abstract: A hydraulic continuously variable transmission includes an axial plunger pump including a pump cylinder provided with pump plunger holes, and pump plungers fitted in the pump plunger holes. The transmission also includes an axial plunger motor including a motor cylinder provided with motor plunger holes, and motor plungers fitted in the motor plunger holes. A distribution valve of a closed hydraulic circuit is provided for connecting the axial plunger pump and the axial plunger motor to each other. Pump openings are provided at end portions of the pump plunger holes for discharging a hydraulic fluid pushed out by sliding movements of the pump plungers in the pump plunger holes. The pump openings are located opposite to end faces of the pump plungers, and the pump openings are smaller than the pump plunger holes and offset to the side of the rotational axis of the pump cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20050036723
Abstract: The inner races 11 of ball bearings 7a, 7b are securely fitted by interference fit onto the portion of a rotatable shaft 5 whose outer diameter is not changed over the axial direction in order to support the rotatable shaft 5 in a motor case 4. In this state, the above respective ball bearings 7a and 7b are preloaded. The temperature of the above inner races 11 can reach 130? or a higher temperature in use. These inner races 11 are made of a steel containing its retained austenite in an amount of up to 4% by volume. The interference of the inner races 11 with the above rotatable shaft 5 is secured by inhibiting enlargement of the above inner races 11 in inner diameter due to the decomposition of the retained austenite. Accordingly, an air conditioning apparatus for automobile is realized with a structure which can be manufactured at a low cost, securing preload even in a high temperature environment, without giving riders discomfortable feeling.
