  • Patent number: 9992235
Abstract: An information processing system includes at least one information processing terminal and a first information processing apparatus. When an instruction for selecting a user authentication mode, which is received, from a user, by a user interface of the information processing terminal, selects a second user authentication mode, circuitry of the first information processing apparatus determines whether a sum of charges for services used by the user while logging in the information processing terminal via the second user authentication mode after a most recent login via a first user authentication mode exceeds a predetermined amount, and generates an authentication result indicating that the user is not the authenticated user.

  • Patent number: 7176904
Abstract: Comprises a panel, and a coordinate control section that detects a point touched on the panel and generates a signal according to the detected point. The coordinate control section generates a coordinate signal that shows coordinates of a touched point, when one point touch on the panel has been detected. When simultaneous touches of two or more points on the panel have been detected, the coordinate control section generates a control signal that shows a control set in advance corresponding to the number of touched points.

  • Patent number: 5194050
Abstract: A positioning device for preventing an endless belt passed over a plurality support rollers from being shifted to either of opposite sides in the axial direction of the rollers. A pair of forcing elements are located at both ends of at least one of the support rollers for forcing back, when the belt is shifted toward either of opposite ends of the support roller to contact the end of the latter, the belt toward the center of the roller in the axial direction of the roller. The forcing elements each are implemented as a plurality of spaced flanges. The maximum diameter of the flanges sequentially increases from the innermost flange to the outermost flange in the axial direction of the roller. The plurality of flanges may be replaced with a single spiral flange.

  • Patent number: 4862212
Abstract: An image forming apparatus allows an image carrier, a developing unit and a cleaning device each having a different service life to be detachably mounted in a housing thereof. The developing and cleaning devices are rotatably supported to constitute an image forming unit. The image forming unit is detachably supported by a first rotatable body which is mounted to the apparatus housing. The image carrier is detachably supported by opposite side plates of the apparatus housing or by a second rotatable body which is supported by the apparatus housing to be rotatable independently of the first rotatable body. A positioning arrangement is provided for controlling the rotation of the developing and cleaning devices so that the image forming unit and the image carrier may be prevented from interfering with each other when the unit is moved toward and away from the image carrier.
