  • Patent number: 7098993
Abstract: An inexpensive and highly productive exposure device for directly scanning and exposing a photosensitive material sensitive to at least a UV region, based on digital data. As a motor controller moves an exposure head at a fixed speed in Y direction, image data is read one line of image data, each GLV element of a light modulator array is switched on/off by the read image data, and laser light from a high power light source of the exposure head is switched on/off. A UV-sensitive object to be exposed is exposed in X direction in a number of pixel units that substantially corresponds to the number of the GLV elements. The image data is scanned and exposed by one line in Y direction (main-scan). The motor controller moves a flat stage by one step in X direction (sub-scan). The object to be exposed is imagewise-exposed by repeating such scans.

  • Patent number: 7014986
Abstract: A writing device is provided which, in simple processes, can write in two dimensions and three dimensions, and which can form highly accurate patterns. An exposure head, a conductive material discharging head, and an insulating material discharging head are disposed at one scanning stage. At the one scanning stage, a pattern can be formed on a printed board which is on the scanning stage. As a result, processes can be simplified, time between patternings can be shortened, and pattern formation can be made to be faster. Moreover, positional offset of the exposure head and the discharging heads with respect to the printed board does not arise. Thus, it is easy to increase a density of a pattern, and a highly accurate pattern is formed.

  • Patent number: 7001868
Abstract: To provide an image recording method and apparatus that can record and display an image of free pattern without forming the complex wirings in an electrochromic material, and to reduce the manufacturing costs of the image recording apparatus employing the EC material. A recording sheet 7 having a coloring layer made of an electrochromic material and an electrolytic layer with an increasing electrical conductivity in a specific temperature range is employed, and a recording head 13 with a plurality of heating elements arranged in a linear direction is moved relative to the surface of the recording sheet 7 in the direction orthogonal to the linear direction while at the same time a voltage is applied to the front and back faces of the recording sheet 7, thereby selectively heating the heating elements 11. Thereby, a coloring reaction is caused only in a part where heat is applied by the heating elements of the recording sheet 7 and voltage is applied to form an image on the recording sheet 7.

  • Publication number: 20050036783
Abstract: In a pattern production system, resist coated on copper foil on the substrate is exposed to light, by direct drawing, on the basis of a width of a line forming a pattern designated by processing pattern data at a predetermined exposure, the exposed resist is developed to form a resist pattern, and the copper foil is etched to form an etched pattern. An image of the etched pattern is scanned and image information of the etched pattern is obtained. The width of the line forming the pattern represented by the image information and the width of the line forming the pattern of the target etched pattern are compared, and the width of the line forming the pattern designated by the processing pattern data is adjusted on the basis of the result of comparison. The resist is exposed to light, by direct drawing, with the adjusted line width on the basis of the result of comparison.

  • Patent number: 6778206
Abstract: A recording apparatus builds up positive pressure in its interior with air being supplied by a fan. Filter rejects any dust and dirt contained in the air so they will not enter the apparatus. Humidifier has a water-imbibed water-retaining material in its interior and humidifies the interior of the recording apparatus so that the internal humidity is always maintained at an optimum value. The recording apparatus ensures that there will be no change of the internal humidity that would otherwise deteriorate the performance of the constituent members of the apparatus or reduce the sensitivity of the sensitive material in the recording medium and this contributes to preventing unevenness in the finished image. The recording apparatus is also free from the development of static charge in the areas of contact between the recording medium and the constituent members and from the subsequent occurrence of transport jam and failures in electronic components.

  • Patent number: 6760093
Abstract: A liquid droplet containing thermosetting or ultraviolet curing adhesive material is jetted out to either of a transfer member (5) or an image receiving member (11) so as to correspond to a shape of an image so that a latent image is formed. The transfer member (5) and the image receiving member (11) are brought into close contact with each other so that the latent image is interposed between the transfer member (5) and the image receiving member (11). Then, heat or ultraviolet rays are applied for curing the adhesive material so that a transfer material formed on the transfer member (5) is fixed to the image receiving member (11) through the cured adhesive material. Then, the transfer member (5) and the image receiving member (11) are separated from each other so that only the fixed transfer material is transferred to the image receiving member (11). As a result, a required image is formed.

  • Patent number: 6655769
Abstract: A printer selectively ejects ink droplets or jets out ink mists depending upon input data of an image to be recorded. The printer has a drive signal generating section and a recording head. The drive signal generating section generates two drive signals, first one for causing the recording head to eject ink droplets to record edge portions of a solid tone level of gradation in the image and the second one for causing the recording head to jet out ink mists to record portions in the image other than the edge portions. The first signal has lower frequency than the second signal. The recording head has liquid ink chambers, each of which has an ink nozzle. A liquid level of ink in each liquid ink chamber is controlled when the first signal or the second signal is applied to the recording head.
