  • Patent number: 5129554
Abstract: A catch-in prevention rotary valve includes a rotor case having an inlet port and an outlet port and a rotor having a plurality of blades. The rotor is supported in the rotor case such that it can be rotatably driven about a horizontal shaft. Each of the blades has a blade end, and each blade end as viewed in elevation has a V-shape which is open to a front side in a predetermined rotation direction of each blade. A member is disposed above the inlet port having a shielding part and two inclining walls which have respective scratcxh-off edges, the two inclining walls opening into a V-shape toward a rear side in the predetermined rotation direction of each the blade, and the shielding part having a V-shape including a rear trip end. The rear tip end of the shielding part protrudes between the two inclining walls toward the rear side from a front central part of the two inclining walls. A bottom surface of the shielding part has a concave portion having a depth through which plural granules can pass.

  • Patent number: 4882042
Abstract: An apparatus and method for separating floss from particles conveyed in a primary gas. The primary gas strikes a plate in a closed hopper so that the primary gas, particles and floss are deflected downwardly through an annular passageway to an annular separation section. A secondary gas is jetted radially outwardly in the separation section to deflect the floss to a floss discharge tube. The heavier particles continue falling into a closed particle discharge passageway into which a tertiary gas is jetted so that it flows upwardly to the separation section. The particles but no gas are discharged from the lower end of the particle discharge passageway.

  • Patent number: 4304038
Abstract: Small-sized pressure vessels made of sheet metal which are suitable for the storage and carriage of pressurized liquid, pressurized gas and the like are provided herein, and also the method of manufacturing these pressure vessels which comprises in combination a process in which two cup-shaped pieces made of sheet metal are fitted, or a jointing ring made of metal or synthetic resin is fitted to the open end of one of both cup-shaped pieces along its inner or outer circumferential surface, and hot-melting type adhesives are applied to the jointing surface of each cup-shaped piece to which the jointing ring is attached and the jointing ring itself or the open end of the other cup-shaped piece. Also both cup-shaped pieces may be butted or fitted in their open ends in which, for example, one cup-shaped piece which has the jointing ring fitted thereto and the other cup-shaped piece are heated to 120.degree. C.-250.degree. C. to melt the adhesives and are then cooled to solidify the adhesives.
