  • Patent number: 11077839
Abstract: A control system is installed on a vehicle having an electric motor as a drive power source. The control system includes an electronic control unit configured to switch the vehicle between an automatic driving mode using automatic drive control, and a manual driving mode in which the vehicle is operated by a driver. The electronic control unit is configured to limit the load factor of the electric motor, in the case where the temperature of the electric motor is higher than a first threshold temperature when the vehicle travels in the automatic driving mode, and the case where the temperature of the electric motor is higher than a second threshold temperature when the vehicle travels in the manual driving mode. The second threshold temperature is set to a value higher than the first threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 10084359
Abstract: An electric motor includes a rotor shaft, and the rotor shaft has a shaft-core oil passage and radial oil passages. The shaft-core oil passage includes an inner wall facing radially inward. The radial oil passages are provided toward a radial outer side of the rotor shaft from the shaft-core oil passage. The radial oil passages penetrate through the rotor shaft. The radial oil passages have corresponding one of first connection openings connected to the shaft-core oil passage, so that oil that is not discharged from the first connection openings to the radial oil passage is supplied to other supply destinations. A distance of the first connection openings from the shaft core is shorter than a distance, from the shaft core, of that part of the inner wall which is not provided with the first connection openings.
