Abstract: There is disclosed a light-sensitive photographic material which comprises a silver halide emulsion layer containing a first coupler dispersed in oil droplets, a second coupler dispersed in an alkali aqueous solution and a compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibiting substance or a precursor thereof.The specified combination of the first and the second couplers with the diffusible DIR coupler according to the present invention provide a good inter image effect whereby color images having excellent color balance are obtained.

Abstract: A process for producing a chlorohenylhydrazine compound is disclosed, which comprises chlorinating at least one hydrogen atom on the phenyl nucleus in a beta-imidated phenylhydrazine compound and subsequently hydrolyzing the chlorinated compound. Said chlorophenylhydrazine compound is useful as starting material for the production of herbicide, insecticide and photographic coupler is produced in high yield and low cost.

Abstract: A negative-working silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, said material including a pyrazolotriazole-based magenta coupler and means for forming an unsharp positive image.

Abstract: A light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material, comprising at least one photographic constituent layer containing a multi-functional dye which becomes substantially colorless in the presence of the oxidized product of a color developing agent through the reaction with the oxidized product, and becomes substantially colorless in the absence of the oxidized product of the color developing agent during the color-photographic processing step.According to the present invention, a color light-sensitive material containing a multi-functional compound having excellent sharpness, good color reproducibility and further excellent graininess can be obtained.

Abstract: A photosensitive silver halide colored photographic material having (1) ballasted couplers combined with photosensitive silver halide emulsions and (2) colored compounds capable of reacting with oxidized developing agent, wherein the colored compounds are capable of diffusing in the photographic material during developing treatments and have their principal absorption in the main absorption wavelength region of the dye produced by the reaction of the coupler with the developing agent.

Abstract: High-contrast light-sensitive silver halide photographic material which comprises a support, a silver halide emulsion layer containing silver halide and another hydrophilic colloidal layer coated on the support, at least one of said silver halide emulsion layer and another hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a substantially non-diffusible compound having oxidizing power on a hydroquinone developing agent, and the thickness, in an aqueous solution having the composition described as in the specification kept at 23.degree. C., of said at least one layer being from 1.2-4.5 times that of said layer dried in an atmosphere at 23.degree. C. at a relative humidity of 55%.

Abstract: In the process for preparing impregnated polymer latex compositions by impregnating a hydrophobic substance in dispersed polymer particles in an aqueous polymer latex, the improvement comprises impregnating said hydrophobic substance, wherein the impregnation is effected by mixing said hydrophobic substance which is solid state, a water-miscible organic solvent and aqueous polymer latex wherein a polymer of the polymer latex is prepared from ethene monomers and containing at least one hydrophilic group.

Abstract: In a process for providing a color image which comprises imagewise exposing a multilayered light-sensitive photographic material comprising a support and a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer not having a coupler incorporated therein and thereafter developing said exposed photographic material with a coupler-containing color developer, the speed and color density of the image are improved by incorporating into the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer or the layer contiguous therewith oil particles of a high boiling solvent such as phthalate, phosphate, amide and alcohol type solvents.

Abstract: An improved process for forming an amplified dye image on an image-wise, exposed light-sensitive silver halide photographic material is described, which, after developing, is processed with an amplifying solution the improvement being in that (a) the coupler is in stoichiometric excess of at least 50% relative to the amount of silver halide, (b) the dry thickness ratio of the hydrophilic colloid layer to the silver halide emulsion layer is 1 to 10 and (c) the amplifying solution contains hydrogen peroxide.
