  • Publication number: 20150211451
Abstract: A first papermaking raw material for an upper layer and a second papermaking raw material for a lower layer are subjected to papermaking so as to form a filtering material with a continuous density gradient from the upper layer to the lower layer. Each of the papermaking raw materials contains natural fibers such as pulp and chemical fibers such as PET. The content of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is higher than the content of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The diameter of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is larger than the diameter of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The thus-obtained filtering material is able to collect a wide size range of particles and is made less susceptible to clogging and longer in life.

  • Publication number: 20140360145
Abstract: Provided are a filter medium for a filter, which makes it possible to obtain a filter high in collection efficiency, low in pressure loss and long in filter lifetime, a method for producing the same, and a filter using the filter medium for a filter. A filter medium for a filter is used as a constituent member of a filter and composed of a wet type nonwoven fabric, wherein the filter medium for a filter has a multilayer structure of two or more layers, and there is no interface between the above-mentioned two layers.

  • Publication number: 20130199141
Abstract: A multilayer filter medium, which is used as a constituent member of a filter and has a multilayer structure, includes a wet type nonwoven fabric layer A containing 0.5 to 20% by weight, based on layer weight, of short-cut nanofibers which are composed of a fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer, have a single fiber diameter (D) of 100 to 1,000 nm and are cut so that the ratio (L/D) of the length (L) to the single fiber diameter (D) is within the range of 100 to 2,500 and core-sheath conjugate type binder fibers having a single fiber diameter of 5 ?m or more, and a nonwoven fabric layer B having a lower density than that of the wet type nonwoven fabric layer A. A filter uses the multilayer filter medium and has the nonwoven fabric layer B arranged on a fluid inlet side.

  • Patent number: 5193095
Abstract: A multi-mode Raman laser system wherein Raman conversion is performed by injecting exciting laser beam from transversely excited atmospheric pressure CO.sub.2 laser system into a Raman cell. Unstable resonator type oscillator is used as transversely excited atmospheric pressure CO.sub.2 laser system; and multi-mode Raman cell is used as the Raman cell. The quantity required for an excited CO.sub.2 laser system can thus be extensively reduced. Also, it is possible to reduce the input electric required for obtaining the same energy of 16 .mu.m light which is scattered light, because saturated conversion of excited light, can be achieved by multi-mode Raman cell, and system efficiency can be increased.

  • Patent number: 4710297
Abstract: An air filter element consists of an annularly arranged pleated filter medium having a plurality of radially extending pleats. Two sides or legs of each pleat are bonded to each other at the outer peripheral side to form an outer bonded section while one sides or legs of the adjacent pleats are bonded to each other at the inner peripheral side to form an inner bonded section, thereby forming a fluid path extending between the adjacent pleats along the length of each pleat. Additionally, outer and inner resilient seal members are so provided that a part of each outer bonded section is embedded in the outer seal member while a part of each inner bonded section is embedded in the inner sealing member.
