    Abstract: A storage box equipment of a motorcycle is disposed at substantially an upper central portion of a body frame of the motorcycle and comprises a storage box body having an upper portion defining an opening and having a rear portion supported to the body frame to be openable by a first hinge mechanism, a lid member for opening and closing the opening of the storage box body by a second hinge mechanism and a lock mechanism mounted to the storage box body for locking the lid member. The lock mechanism includes a pair of strikers which are engaged with a pair of hook disposed on the lid member and includes a solenoid which is attached to a base plate secured to the storage box body. The second hinge member is disposed at a front end portion of the storage box body and comprises a lever and a spring members. The lid member may be reinforced with a reinforcing member disposed on the side of the lid member.
