    Abstract: A desulfurizing composition which is fed together with nitrogen into a molten pig iron in a desulfurization. The desulfurizing composition comprises 0.3 to 10 wt.% of a carbon source for preventing secondary coagulation and 1 to 10 wt.% of a magnesium compound for inhibiting of calcium cyanamide and the main component of calcium carbide for the desulfurization.
