    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for a UE to prioritize gapless measurements. The UE receives an enquiry for capabilities of the UE with respect to a set of bands. The UE determines a portion of the set of bands that can be measured without a measurement gap. The UE indicates a status of the UE to measure all of the bands in the set of bands without a measurement gap when the portion of the set of bands is greater than a first threshold or connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) is configured. The UE receives a configuration for inter-band measurements without a measurement gap. The UE transmits a measurement report for inter-band measurements without a measurement for one or more bands that the UE cannot measure without a measurement gap.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A UE may perform a dual registration with a geostationary orbit (GSO) entity of an NTN (NTN) and a non-GSO (NGSO) entity, where a GSO cell of the GSO entity may include an NGSO cell of the NGSO entity. The UE may receive paging from the GSO entity while in the NGSO cell, or after leaving the NGSO cell, based on registering with the GSO entity and the NGSO entity. For example, the UE may receive paging from the GSO entity based on switching a secondary receiver of the UE from monitoring a communication link associated with the NGSO entity to monitoring a communication link associated with the GSO entity. In some cases, the UE may skip performing a tracking area update (TAU) when entering a new tracking area (TA), leaving an NGSO cell, or entering a new NGSO cell.
