  • Publication number: 20030036365
Abstract: In one side of an upper casing of a portable communications terminal, a close-range-photography camera module, suitable for close-range photography, is provided. An open lens window is provided so that a lens portion of the close-range-photography camera module is exposed. In the opposite side of the upper casing, a long-range camera module having a greater magnifying power than the close-range-photography camera module is provided. An open lens window is provided so that a lens portion of the long-range camera module is exposed. Further, there is provided a flash unit for strong illumination when necessary.

  • Patent number: 5356060
Abstract: A structure of the casing of a radio pager or similar miniature portable apparatus and a clip attachable to the casing. The casing has an elongate groove on the top and a cavity having a generally L-shaped section in a lower end portion of the back. A base plate is complementary in configuration to the back of the casing to be engageable with the latter. The base plate has an engaging portion at the upper end and a bent portion to be received in the cavity at the lower end. After the engaging portion has been engaged with the groove of the casing, the base plate is brought into abutment against the back of the casing. Then, the lower end portion of the base plate is fastened to the casing by a screw.

  • Patent number: 4106004
Abstract: A twist detecting device for use in a detwisting apparatus for a roped web of knit or woven fabric in a fabric processing system comprising a pair of sensing drums each having a plurality of axial grooves formed on at least a portion of the circumferential surface thereof and spaced apart from each other so that said roped web passes between said drums in a direction generally parallel with said grooves; means for supporting said drums rotatably about their respective axes so that as said twist in said rope is tightened, engagement of said twisted rope with said grooves on either one or both of said drums causes simultaneous rotation of said drums in the same direction, the direction of said rotation depending on the direction of said twist; and means for detecting said direction of rotation to produce a corresponding electrical signal which actuates a detwister so as to decrease or remove said twist in said roped web.

  • Patent number: 4062094
Abstract: Apparatus for laterally stretching a web of textile fabric comprising a pair of web-stretching devices disposed at opposite sides of the web, each web-stretching device comprising at least a pair of parallel uncurling fingers and a control roller disposed therebetween. The fingers and the roller engage a selvage of the web to exercise a lateral pulling force thereon, and when a detector detects lateral displacement of the web, the position of the control roller relative to the fingers is changed to change the lateral pulling force on the web so as to correct the lateral displacement. At the same time the position of the detector is changed so as to prevent overshooting and render the sensitivity higher and response quicker. When the width of the web changes, the distance between the two web-stretching devices is changed so as to compensate for the change of the web width.
