A second communication unit communicates with a mobile apparatus according to a second communication scheme that differs from the first communication scheme. A receiving unit receives a filtering condition from the mobile apparatus by way of the second communication unit. A filtering unit selects a packet signal, which matches the filtering condition, from among the packet signals received by the first communication unit. A transfer unit transfers information, contained in the selected packet signal selected, from the second communication unit to the mobile apparatus.

A focus state determination unit determines a display color of focus state information, which is shown as a graph with a color indicating the degree of focus. The focus state determination unit includes: a unit for calculating a change of the focus evaluation value; and a unit for determining the focus state information to be displayed by referring to a table that associates a combination of the change of the focus evaluation value, the focus evaluation value, and the target value with the display color of the focus state information.

A camera captures images of a region including the radiated light on the predetermined plane. A radiated light detector detects the radiated light from the images captured by the camera. An estimation unit estimates the position of the tip of the pointing device from the radiated light detected by the radiated light detector.
