  • Patent number: 9032829
Abstract: Provided is a button structure of a shift knob for use with a shift lever in which a rod is provided. The shift knob comprises: a button capable of being pushed to allow the rod to be moved downwardly from a lock position to a lock release position; a pinion gear provided in coaxial relation to a pivot shaft of the button; and a rack meshed with the pinion gear. The button structure moves the rod to a shift-lock release position, interlockingly with a downward movement of the rack caused by a swinging movement of the pinion gear in a forward direction, according to a pushing operation of the button, and moves the rod to a shift-lock position, interlockingly with an upward movement of the rack caused by a swinging movement of the pinion gear in a reverse direction, according to a push-mode releasing operation of the button.

  • Patent number: 8754339
Abstract: A slide switch has a first small-current fixed contact, a second small-current fixed contact, a first large-current fixed contact and a second large-current fixed contact all disposed on a board. A movable contact member is movable along the board and includes a first small-current movable contact, a second small-current movable contact, a first large-current movable contact and a second large-current movable contact, all of which are integrally formed together. The first small-current movable contact is adapted, according to the movement of the movable contact member, to be brought into contact with the first small-current fixed contact. The first large-current movable contact is adapted, according to the movement of the movable contact member, to contact the first large-current fixed contact. The second small-current movable contact is continually in contact with the second small-current fixed contact.

  • Patent number: 8312786
Abstract: A shift-lock mechanism includes a lock member to lock or unlock a transmission range-switching member, a solenoid to be operated in response to operation of a brake on a vehicle, and an engagement arm to be engaged releasably with the solenoid. A plunger of the solenoid is movable between a retracted position outside a movement path of the engagement arm, and an engagement position is stretched across the movement path of the engagement arm. When a selector lever is manually moved into a parking range zone, the plunger is moved forwardly from the retracted position to the engagement position to allow a peripheral wall of the plunger to stop movement of the engagement arm. In response to a braking operation, the plunger is moved backwardly from the engagement position to the retracted position to allow stopping of the movement of the engagement arm to be released.

  • Patent number: 7992463
Abstract: A shifter for an automatic transmission has a gate plate with a main gate and a sub-gate. A shift lever has a spherical portion and is movable along the main gate and the sub-gate. A switching member enables switching the automatic transmission to a manual operation. The switching member includes a body held in a swingable manner, and a lever holding section integrally formed with the body to rotatably hold the spherical portion. The body is adapted, to be uncoupled from the shift lever so as to place the automatic transmission in a manual mode when the shift lever is swung from the main gate into the sub-gate about the spherical portion and to be coupled to the shift lever so as to return the automatic transmission to an automatic mode when the shift lever is returned from the sub-gate to the main gate.
