  • Patent number: 6724112
Abstract: A cup ring and a holding-plate are disposed at each side of a front bracket of a stator of a motor, to fix in place an outer ring of a front ball-bearing of the rotor of the motor in order to prevent creep between a bearing housing and the outer ring. A thickness of a bearing shim is adjusted such that a distance between an end portion of a tube section of the cup ring and a first end face of the outer ring is less than 0.1 mm. The holding plate is temporarily fixed to a given place of the motor shaft, and then screwed down thereto with a screw, so that the holding plate moves and solidly contacts the outer ring of the front ball bearing. An outer diameter of the motor shaft extending between the given place and the bearing is smaller than a center hole of the holding plate such that the holding plate does not contact the motor shaft.

  • Patent number: 6577034
Abstract: A spline is provided on a hollow shaft, and the key in the spline can couple directly a shaft to be driven of an external apparatus. Screw blocks rotational torque, thus screw is desirably located as far as possible from output shaft. Although the location is not illustrated, an anti-revolving function is desirably provided on the housing surface at the farthest place from the output shaft so that less force is required for fixedly securing the geared motor.

  • Publication number: 20020185927
Abstract: Cup ring 8 and holding-plate 11, disposed at each side of front bracket 7, sandwich tightly an outer ring of front ball-bearing 10 in order to prevent creep between a bearing housing and the outer ring. A thickness of bearing shim 12 is adjusted such that an axial clearance between the front ball-bearing and a rear ball-bearing falls within a range from 0.02 to 0.1 mm. Holding plate 11 is temporarily fixed to a given place of motor shaft 1, then screwed down thereto with screw 14, so that plate 11 moves and solidly contacts with the outer ring of front ball bearing 10. An outer diameter of shaft 1 extending between the given place and bearing 10 is smaller than a center hole of holding plate 11, thus plate 11 does not touch shaft 1.

  • Patent number: 6302798
Abstract: A torque transmitter includes (a) a driver, (b) torque transmitting means for transmitting the torque generated by the driver to a follower, (c) a rotary body on the follower side, and (d) a torque reducer that reduces (or discontinues) the torque transmission when excessive torque over a threshold torque value is loaded to the rotary body on the follower side, and the torque limiter has different threshold-torque-values responsive to rotating directions of the rotary body.

  • Patent number: 5053661
Abstract: A geared motor having a gear case and a motor housing. The gear case contains reduction gears and a viscous grease which lubricates the reduction gears and fills the a gear case. An integrally formed main oil seal having a main lip and a dust lip and a sub oil seal having a sub lip are disposed between a rotor shaft of the motor and the motor housing. The sub oil seal is disposed between the gear case and the main seal to prevent the viscous grease and metal powder in the viscous grease resulting from wear of the gear (101) from jeopardizing the main seal. In some embodiments, a second grease is retained in a space formed between the sub lip and the main lip. An outer wheel of a ball bearing supports the rotor shaft and is fixed to the bottom of the motor housing so that the rotor shaft cannot move in its axial direction and so that the rotor shaft will be firmly sealed by the main oil seal and the sub oil seal.
