  • Publication number: 20150286343
Abstract: An organization mode in a user interface that displays multiple user interface elements. The multiple user interface elements fit over a grid positions that are at least conceptually imposed over a canvas. In organization mode, the grid positions are displayed, allowing the user to more easily see where user interface elements may be placed. As the user moves and/or resizes a user interface element, one or more corresponding grid positions are highlighted to show where the user interface element would be placed if the move or resize operation were to conclude at that moment. The organization mode may also provide a contextual actions menu with respect to a particular user interface element. The contextual actions menu includes multiple organization mode commands, including one or more that may be directed selected from the contextual actions menu to invoke the command.

  • Publication number: 20150288747
Abstract: A user interface control that has different logic components for processing different role logic depending on a role that is played by the user interface control. The user interface control may also have a general function component that performs general functions that may be common across multiple user interface controls. Also, a protocol for use in communicating between two user interface controls to establish a communications link. A first user interface control requests information from a second user interface control, which then obtains the requested information. The second user interface control then provides the requested information to the first user interface control, and then awaits the validation of the requested information.

  • Publication number: 20110248814
Abstract: An inexpensive shielded-type inductor is disclosed to include a first powder compact member, a coil embedded in the first powder compact member with the bottom side of the coil body thereof kept in flush with the bottom side of the first powder compact member and two metal terminals thereof extending from the two opposite ends of the coil body to the outside of the first powder compact member, and a second powder compact member bonded to the bottom side of the first powder compact member to determine the inductance value of the inductor subject to the thickness of the second powder compact member and to protect the inductor against external environmental factors.

  • Publication number: 20110074059
Abstract: A porous ceramic member preparation method includes the step of mixing powdered silicon carbide and a resin at a predetermined ratio with a solvent to form a paste for enabling the resin to be covered on the surface of the powdered silicon carbide and the solvent to be fully vaporized, the step of processing the paste into a predetermined shape, the step of heating the shaped material at a low heating temperature to cure the resin, and the step of sintering the shaped material into a ceramic member having pores therein.

  • Patent number: 6429827
Abstract: The present invention discloses an integrated single-body antenna-transceiver assembly for a multi-channel multi-point distribution system (MMDS) transceiver for bi-directional signal transmission and reception. The assembly comprises a dipole antenna-body comprising a surrounded plastic-molded exterior with interior metal dipole antenna extending vertically from a metal attachment-seat surrounding a signal feed pin connected to the dipole antenna. The assembly further comprises an MMDS transceiver having a transmitter printed circuit board (PCB) and a receiver PCB enclosed in a waterproof-metal housing having an antenna-attachment pad including a signal feed pin opening. The dipole antenna-body is securely attached to the waterproof-metal housing by attaching to the antenna-attachment pad sealed with an O-ring with the signal feed pin extended through the signal feed pin opening to contact the receiver PCB, the diplexer, and the transmitter PCB.

  • Patent number: 6149452
Abstract: The present invention discloses a frequency down converter for a multichannel multipoint distribution service (MMDS) television (TV) signal transmission and receiving system. The down converter system includes a separate address module for controlling signal reception for a subscriber according to a subscribing status carried by radio frequency signals transmitted from a signal transmission station. The address module includes a module container for containing a main circuit assembly therein. The down converter further includes a F-type connector for screwing onto the main circuit assembly through a connector opening of the module container for establishing an electric contact and for mechanically pulling the electric circuit assembly for sealing another opening on the module container.

  • Patent number: 5533180
Abstract: A method of enabling a computer user to manipulate, as one font, an arbitrary number of special characters exceeding the 256 characters which single byte font schemes can represent in one font. The invention takes advantage of the user-activatable font management capabilities built into popular application programs, such as a mechanism for switching between different standard character fonts; and, a font display mechanism for enabling the user to monitor the font switching procedure. The special characters are divided into font segments, with each segment containing a number "X" (less than 256) characters. The segments are stored for subsequent retrieval. Each character input by the user is scanned to determine whether it is one of the special characters. Non-special characters are passed without further action. If a special character is detected, the stored font segment containing that character is identified to see if it is the font currently in use by the program.
