  • Publication number: 20230283240
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to radiofrequency, RF, amplifiers and electronic devices that include RF amplifiers. One example RF amplifier includes a splitter configured to split an RF input signal received at an input of the RF amplifier into a plurality of RF signal parts. The RF amplifier also includes a plurality of Doherty amplifiers, each Doherty amplifier having a main amplifier and a peak amplifier. Each Doherty amplifier is configured to amplify a respective RF signal part and output a respective amplified RF signal part. Additionally, the RF amplifier includes a combiner. The combiner is configured to combine the amplified RF signal parts from the plurality of Doherty amplifiers into an RF output signal and output the RE output signal. The combiner includes a plurality of inputs and an output. Each input of the combiner is connected to an output of a respective Doherty amplifier among the plurality of Doherty amplifiers.

  • Publication number: 20220077557
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to power dividers. One example power divider includes a dielectric unit that includes one or more dielectric layers and has a first surface and a second surface. The power divider also includes a first transmission line unit being of a coplanar type or a stripline type. The first transmission line unit includes a plurality of first transmission lines, each first transmission line including a respective first line segment and a respective second line segment. The first transmission line unit also includes a first dielectric layer. The power divider also includes a second transmission line unit. The second transmission line unit includes a second transmission line. The second transmission line unit also includes a second dielectric layer. Further, the power divider includes a first via. In addition, the power divider includes a plurality of second vias distributed around the first via.

  • Publication number: 20190305434
Abstract: A connection arrangement comprises an antenna adapted to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic waves and a waveguide member adapted to transport the electromagnetic waves. An end section of the waveguide member is arranged at the antenna in a transmission state such that an electromagnetic radiation can be transmitted between the antenna and the waveguide member. The waveguide member has a recess extending from a free end of the waveguide member into the waveguide member. The antenna is at least partially inserted in the recess in the transmission state.

  • Publication number: 20190305409
Abstract: An antenna comprises a pair of planar layers that are stacked in a direction perpendicular to a pair of layer planes along which the pair of planar layers extend and a separation layer at least partially separating the pair of planar layers. The pair of planar layers each end at a common layer end face and each provide a waveguide for transmission of electromagnetic waves parallel to the pair of layer planes. The waveguides end at the common layer face.

  • Publication number: 20190280846
Abstract: A switching module for establishing a controllable propagation path for a high-frequency modulated signal in response to a switching information comprises a controllable switch and a link-management unit. The controllable switch is adapted to couple a first port to one of a second port and a third port. The link-management unit is operable to generate a control signal for controlling the switch based on the switching information. The link-management unit has a detector unit adapted to receive the control signal with the high-frequency modulated signal and to generate a pulse for controlling the switch depending on the control signal.
