  • Patent number: 10247337
Abstract: An assembly includes a hose having at least a first bead ring disposed proximate a distal end of the hose, and a tapered fitting defining an axial centerline and distal end of the assembly. The tapered fitting further defines a first outer diameter relative the axial centerline, and a second outer diameter relative the axial centerline. The first outer diameter is greater than the second outer diameter, and the second outer diameter is disposed nearer the distal end. The tapered fitting further defines a hollow channel therethrough which is disposed around the axial centerline. The first bead ring is disposed adjacent the second outer diameter of the tapered fitting and remote from the first outer diameter of the tapered fitting. The large bore hose is sealingly secured upon the tapered fitting by interference fit.

  • Patent number: 10046818
Abstract: An endless rubber track belt includes an endless, elongate carcass having an outer surface, an inner surface, and at least one reinforcing layer. The inner surface defines a plurality of wheel path areas. A plurality of tread lugs are disposed on the outer surface. A plurality of guide lugs are disposed on the inner surface, where each guide lug includes oppositely disposed drive faces, an upper face between said drive faces, and oppositely disposed end faces. At least one reinforcement strip is disposed inward from the inner surface and outward from the at least one reinforcement layer. The at least one reinforcement strip is positioned adjacent the plurality of wheel path areas. The at least one reinforcement strip may include a bias ply formed of two layers of cords arranged in opposite +/? bias angles. The +/? bias angles may range from about +/?20° to about +/?80°.

  • Patent number: 6508482
Abstract: A trailing arm axle/suspension system includes rigid or spring beams for mounting the axle directly to the beam without any or minimal, respectively, additional mounting hardware or structure. An axle mounting plate is formed as part of the preassembled rigid beam or attached to the spring beam, and is formed with a recess that can range from significantly smaller than to generally the same size as the smallest axle which will be seated therein. The axle is extruded into the recess to eliminate clearance and create intimate contact between the axle and the axle mounting plate. The force typically deforms the axle from its normal cross-sectional shape, such as round, into a generally oval or elliptical cross-sectional shape. Such clearance-free intimate contact also creates a constant preload or compression between the axle and the axle mounting plate in the recess area.
